Hey guys! Finally an update :) We filed 3/21 in NYC. Just got our interview notice for 2/26 on my birthday!! Best of luck to everyone

We filed 03/20/17 at Chicago lockbox and are scheduled for interview 02/21.  Did you use the old medical form or are you having a new one done?  Trying to decide whether I need to have it done again as we filed with the form that expired on 03/30/17.

you should be fine, as long as it includes the ghonorrea test.

We actually did not include our medical form (we got a RFE to bring it with us to the interview). So I don't think it should be an issue :)

March filers are in a weird spot as the old form expired on March 31, 2017.

-Mine was signed March 16, 2017 (exam March 7, tests read March 9) and submitted as part of my application/received on March 20, 2017.

-On August 1, 2016: civil surgeons were required to start gonorrhea testing (the instructions were updated on Nov 23, 2016)

-On March 15, 2017, the Gonorrhea TI were updated to reflect that laboratory reports do not need to be included with the I-693

https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/technical-instructions/civil-surgeons/required-evaluation-components/gonorrhea.html

So basically if your doctor followed the directive between March 15 and March 31st, they probably didn't attach a gonorrhea result (mine did), because the new form as of April 1, 2017 has it incorporated intp the actual form.  Except that if you used the old form and didn't attach the result as per the directive, you're getting an RFE according to people's posts.

Talk about confusing!

Ugh i'm nervous about this. i need to check if the one we filed included it. I'm super pregnant (like, due in March) and worried that I won't be able to have the medical exam done again if need be.

Congrats on that!

and I would suggest, if the Ghonorrea test was included and you are able to do the axam then do it. I would hate for you to have to do it after the interview as a RFE and prolong the process even more.

Pretty much, check your copy of the medical exam and if it was not included, do the exam over. I thought about just doing a ghonorrea test and take the results but I dont know if they would accept. Unless I go through the same surgeon.

At this point my dr doesn't want me to do any tests that is not with them just in case. So... RFE it is I guess :o
i mean, i don't even have an appointment yet so who knows what will happen.

Oh man! Well check your copy of the medical exam - maybe it is included.

And talk to your doctor, maybe he will do it and write something explaining why he didnt want you going through any other doctor.

Just explore all your options before settling with the RFE. Good luck.

Quick question. Those of you who got their green card for k1 what category does it say on the card?

Secondly what is the issue date? The date of interview or the day card was mailed?

After 9 months of waiting, I got my green card without interview. It was mailed to me  around December
