For those of you who, like me, wonder why the processing times haven't updated since September 30 - they post all the data every 3 months in a very detailed spreadsheet

https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-studies/immigration-forms-data/data-set-form-i-485-application-adjustment-status

If you click the first link, you can see how many applications each field office received, approved, denied, and still has pending. It makes me feel like I know a bit more about the reason it's been so slow for us.

This is interesting, crucial and helpful information. I which more people could see this or were aware of this. Thank you so much for sharing.

To put it in some perspective, I did a little quick math - Since Oct 1, 2016 (beginning of 1st quarter) through Sept 30, 2017 (end of their 4th quarter) :

I-485 applications family based :

Received: 365,441

Approved: 275,620 (this is not necessarily from the above number of applications received in the 2017 year, just in general how many they have approved in that time frame)

Denied: 36,976 (once again, this could include applications from 2016 and even 2015 depending on the case)

That is a huge amount of applications to go through and this is only family based: I agree, they should work on their communication and on their updates but this puts me at a little ease knowing this people are having to thoroughly review this many applications. It takes time.

And if you look at your individual city, the numbers are a little less overwhelming lol

Ugh... I485 status has been stuck in "card is being produced" since 10/11 which was the day of our interview. I was finally able to place a SR for non delivery of the card on 12/12, they said I was approved the same day card went into production but never receiver an approval letter or GC! Now they want me to wait 30 more days for GC and submit a form to receive a copy of approval letter (with a $475 filling fee)!!!

Ouch - there must be something you can do. What about an infopass?

Went to infopass a couple weeks ago and the officer said my case was still pending. Didn't look like she was very knowledgeable as she didn't even know my combo card was for both EAD and AP.

I think I'll just contact my local congressman if nothing happens by first week of January!

It also took 2 months for us to get my husband's green card after his interview/approval.  No explanation. Same thing happened for his EAD.  We did receive the approval letters first, then the cards came 2 months later. It was frustrating. Glad you got yours finally.

Thank you! Yes very frustrating. I wonder how important is thr approval letter? We got i130 approval letter but nothing for i485. Just wondering if not having it will cause any issues for ROC.

We are getting a letter today!! I really hope it is an interview notice. It could be a response to our online case status inquiry though. Nothing has been updated on myUSCIS.

Today our congressperson’s office emailed us back. USCIS told them our case is waiting to be scheduled for an interview. Our case status has been stuck on RFIE received since April 19. Fingers crossed...

hello everyone! I am very happy to share that our PR application has been approved without interview! After 9 months! receipt date of our application was Mar 8 and the approval date Dec 8. I did not make any follow ups nor stress myself out. I just patiently waited and we just receive our greencard today in the mail! Cheer up to those who are still waiting! USCIS is doing their job :).  Have a merry Christmas to all and God bless!  Stay positive and good luck! :)

Hi I am done with my interview. Did you recieve your card yet or any online updates?

Nope. He told me I would get within 3 weeks but still nothing. I know another girl who didn't get online updates but did receive her card. Probably because of the holidays it will take a little longer.
