If you look for things to support your side, of course you'll find them. Just like the flat-earthers will find plenty of "evidence" to support their claims. You can tell the same lie a thousand times, but it never gets any more true. Just have a look at the posts after you. Someone from Mexico, Australia and the United Kingdom, and are all in the same boat. I know this process is infuriating and I got the long end of the stick, but like I said playing the victim card won't help. Especially when there's plenty of other people from all different backgrounds are in the same situation.

And for the second part, you're also not correct here. This forum sub-section is specifically for people adjusting from Family Based visas , not people adjusting through family. The title literally says "from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas" and the description doesn't help your case either: "Discussion on filing for Adjustment of Status (AOS) from K1 and K3 Visas to become a permanent resident in America.". Your profile is not mentioning either of them, even though the K-3 is kind of obsolete.

That doesn't mean that you can't be here, in fact the more the merrier. People just love to confuse the actual category they're adjusting from (not that it matters here though). I'm just pointing out that your case will be handled slightly different than the majority of K-1 adjusters. And that isn't because of your race or origin, but because you're required to have an interview while others may not have one.

It's also hilariously funny that you look at a single thing on my profile and then put me in a drawer. You do not need to know this, but I'm half Iranian myself and share many traits with my Iranian side of the family. But of course it's once again easier to label something, play the victim card and then move on. Right?

No sir you are not. You are as much of an Iranian as Trump is of German. I am also Jewish Iranian but I can not have the privilege of Israeli Jews in America. Debating with you is akin to trying to wake a person who pretends to be asleep. It would be a practice in futility.

Those people from other countries (Australia, UK) that you refer to are anomaly. Majority of Europeans or there so-called western people of southern hemisphere have it way easier. And lastly I am waiting for my interview not for interview waiver, even though they are interviewing everyone including K-1 application recently.

I don't know what is your intention picking a fight with me? But I hate to break it to you, I am not here for a fight or finger pointing at least toward the people here. You know the government has plenty of advocates and unless you are on the payroll I suggest you don't do free work.

The fact alone that you’re literally telling me, a person you know nothing about besides a flag displayed on my profile, that I’m wrong about my own origin, is just sad. What you’re doing here is trying to exclude yourself from the rest in order to make you seem like a stand out case for yourself. For what reason though, to desperately cling onto a thought of discrimination against you and your case because if your origin?

You’re telling someone from the same origin as you that they’re not from there. For what reason, to back up your claim that has no backbone to begin with?

Go go look at the January, 2017, December 2016 and even the November 2016 threads. Plenty of people who are unfortunately still stuck in the AOS loop. Are they all from the Middle East? No. Are they all from the west? Also no. They’re from all over the place, you just don’t want to see it.

I replied to your post because you’re trying to single yourself out, playing the victim card as if you’re the only person still stuck in this process. That’s simply not the case and and is not fair to all others going through the same.

My husband is from Iran and we don't have an interview yet but we are not letting that stress make us too bitter. When processing times for our office were updated, they moved backward by a month :( My main worry is if he has to re-do his medical exam, because if it takes more than a year we have to pay again. Other than that, we are traveling in January to meet his family on AP and I won't let fear bring us down. If he gets denied entry I will worry about that then, but for now we are enjoying the fact that he is here with me and able to live and work.

Regarding the fact that non-K1 filers are here, there's no March or April filers thread for AOS from student/tourist visa forum, so this is the best place to check progress for us.

I called second time the lady said it should be and is in field office waiting for interview. But i dont believe that. I didnt have any updates and i filed at 5th march. I want to call them again. And jacksonville florida shows that they are on 4th march, since 20 september...

If I were you, I would endeavour to make an InfoPass at my field office. My understanding (and I can be corrected if I'm wrong) is that the file gets physically forwarded from NBC to the field office at the time that the interview is scheduled. The field office doesn't store all the physical files, they get sent from NBC 'just in time' for the interview.

I am in West Palm Beach field office. It is a relatively fast office. My wife became citizen there in 4.5 months.

Thanks, but now citizenship applications at your field office are running at ~9 months (based on USCIS' web site). Everything is going slower this year.

Based on your signature timeline, it doesn't look as though you're outside normal processing times on USCIS' website (Feb 5 2017 as of Sep 30 2017). But if your congressperson is willing to put in a request on your behalf, it doesn't seem unreasonable given where you are and your field office's processing times.

Funny thing! I just called the NBC to find out where my case is located. Since I got my Workpermit before online they said they were working on it. After that phone call a few minutes later I got the update that my interview is scheduled.

SO people who have Sacramento as their field office, they seem to be working on March filers..

How did your interview go?

Yeah I mean in general the quota seems to be 50/50 whether you get a waiver when you come on a K1, I guess your odds of having the AOS interview waived are just bigger if your partner has been to the K1 interview with you...at least it seems so according to this officer I talked to.  In the end he also could be wrong since he's not the one waiving interviews but the Missouri field center, just thought it was interesting as I've heard that rumour a lot before I came to the U.S.

yes first of all it's so tough to get an infopass apointment at all and then even if you get the earliest appointment date (7am), they don't call you to the window until it's like 7:45am. At least in San Diego. This happened at both my field office appointments so far. So as long as I don't get a super early appointment I can't go to USCIS because I need to go to work.

But to be honest, the only reason I went to the field office today wasn't bc I was fed up waiting for the interview but because as it turned out at my last appointment 5 weeks ago, someone had accidently denied my AOS case instead of rescheduling my interview. So I just wanted to go today to make sure that everything is fine now and I ended up being lucky that I was able to push my AOS interview forward to get it soon.

I had my fiance with me at the embassy for the visa interview but still I got an interview notice for k1 AOS

This is not "whoever whines the loudest gets their green card first"

You have to wait in line like the rest of us. Your ethnicity makes you nothing special here.

Here we share useful information. Here is not the place to be starting political arguments. We've all been waiting a long time and ALL of us have a limited amount of patience left. Not just you. So please. With all due respect, get back in line.

Congrats!!! What documents did they ask to see and what questions did they ask?

Lease agreement or anything else with both your names. A copy(can be a photo copy)of you wedding certificate. Birth certificate from both of you. If you've ever been married before, prrof of ending of marriage. Like divorce decree. He asked how we met and went over the questions on the I-485 form. That's about it.
