Great news! :)

Today wife received green card in mail. Woohoo! :D

To answer question from couple posts ago, there is no indication that green card is conditional. Expiration date is two years from approval date and category is CF1. Nothing else indicating that it is a temporary/conditional.

Thank you everyone for following along this journey, help, and all of the support during the process. See you soon when lifting conditions :)

Congrats on your GC. I was looking your timeline and saw that you received your EAD fairly fast, did you expedite it or it was trough the normal waiting process?

Normal waiting  time. We didn't expedite anything and actually got an RFIE.

Hi everyone :)

So...On Thursday we had our interview. We are from Delaware but we had our appointment in Philadelphia, PA.

Everything took about half an hour maybe up to 45min. First she asked me about my J1 Visa status and about changing the status to B2 visa. I just gave her a notice from USCIS. After that she wanted to know more about us. Where and when we met. When we started dating. When I informed my parents that I am getting married. She asked my husband about the proposal also. After that we showed her photos from our travels and from the wedding. She took maybe 8-10 of them. We needed to give her another copy of joint tax return as well. She checked all the things we wrote in the forms and that was it.

On the end she just said: just so you know all of this seems approvable.

We are still waiting for the update :)

Anyone had their interview in Philadelphia? How long it took for them to update the case? Thank you. And good luck to everyone who have their interviews soon 😊

Anyone had any experience on the time it takes to get that?

Did they told you exactly > it is approved< on the interview? This lady just said to us Your application is approvable. I am so impatient :)

Hi Guys,

I started the process back in March 2017 with I-130. 3rd of March is my priority date.

However, after the approval of I-130 I continued the process with the AOS package.

Thus, priority date for I-485 is the same as I-130 - 3rd of March, however the AOS package was received by USCIS in October 2017.

The question is should I stick to this thread of March filers or go to October? I'm so confused )) really hope my priority is still as per the initial I-130 petition.

Your answers will be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

You're AOS wasn't filed until recently if I'm not mistaken. I personally don't mind if you stayed, I do think however, if you want to have people in the same boat as you(sort of speaking) you would be better off in the October filers section. We all filed our AOS in March. Timelines therefore are different.

I followed up with the USCIS about my case, which has been at the National Benefits Center since March, 3rd, and has had an unassigned Service Request for over a month to check where it's at.

The Tier II officer told me:

1. my background check cleared a few days ago, and my case is awaiting availability at my local (SF) office

2. he said my case is "well within processing times" and that I can expect to hear back in late August 2018 (!!!!!!) by looking at current processing times for interviews

3. he can't say either way whether my Expedited I-131, which I applied for last month, has or hasn't been expedited.

This is awful.
