Hi guys,

My RFE was received by USCIS on the 26th of May. I got my EAD in June but still no luck with the Adjustment of Status. Anyone in NY that is in the same position as me?

No RFE here, but I am also in NY waiting for any kind of update from my I-485. I'm still stuck on Fingerprint Fee Received and my 180 days are up on Saturday. I'm going to give USCIS a call on Monday and ask for a Tier 2 officer to get an update from my case and to submit a service request.

No RFE here either, still waiting on adjustment of status. I've been on "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview"  for 97 days now.

I have a friend who filed in December and got her appointment for end of Sept, so if it all goes well us NYers will be getting appointments/answers by Dec/Jan

That's not too bad for NYC. I'm still hoping for an interview waiver though, makes it easy on me.

My wife has the same thing...She has 2 middle names and 2 last names.  However, on her DL it shows her first name, 2 middle names and 2 last names, so that is correct.  For the social, I wouldn't be too worried about it.  I would try however, to get the DL correct, as that is the one that you'll be showing the most.  I would go back to the DMV, show them your GC and then your foreign passport and see if they'll make the change.  Or even show them the NOA that you received from USCIS and see if they'll change it.

Hello, thanks a lot for the replay!

I called to the Social Security Administration and they explained me that my social is totally okay like that as long my first and last name match I will be fine!

It seams middle and second last names aren't that important!

Have a great weekend and thank you again !

Did anyone have an interview already that got the notice that they needed their i693 for their AOS from K1? We got the notice saying we need to bring it to our interview, but we have a K1 and he had a medical exam in his home country. Did anyone need this and then go to interview? Did they ask for it?

Hey, I received my notice today and it says the same thing... I came on K1 and did my medical last year. What did you do in this case ? Thank you

As explained, it's kind of up to you how you proceed. You can do the medical (again) before the interview with the chance that the IO would not want it for the approval and you paid the few hundred bucks only for your own piece of mind or you wait and don't take the medical again with the chances that you get an RFE at the interview which means that you could potentially prolong your Greencard approval for another 1-2 months.

Just called USCIS to speak to a Tier 2 officer because my case has been pending for longer than 180 days. Unfortunately that wasn't of much help. All she was able to tell me is that my case is still at the MSC, not even that it's in line for an interview waiver or anything. She said besides the day they received my biometrics they don't have any other updates for me.

She did submit a service request on my behalf as well as a second service request to see if my case can be sent to Albany instead of NYC in case I need an interview. She said it's unlikely but she at least tried to get some info for me which is something I guess. I have to say I'm a little disappointed, I was hoping for some more information but unfortunately my call didn't do much besides submit the service requests.

Hello from California. My SOS paperwork was received on April 9. We have received the EA card in the mail and my wife already has a job offer. However, we have not heard anything yet about a green card interview in San Francisco yet. That was 4.5 months ago. Is this a normal length of time to wait for an interview appointment?

My wife needs to be fingerprinted for her job. The sheriff wants her to bring a state ID or driver's license. However, she has neither of these documents. She does have a military ID card, as I am retired Navy. She also has her K-1 Visa.

She should be able to apply for a drivers license or state ID with her EAS. Make your way to the DMV and ask about it or give them a call to see what documents she needs in order to get her one of the two things.

Thank you. I will plan to take her to the DMV with the EAS card.
