@MsGee , same here 😊 8th floor. I just got the notice today. If you don't mind me asking, how was the interview? I feel like bringing all papers and photos with me 😂

@Katrinnah, Yes bring all your papers original and make a copy,  and photos too, better on the safe side if they asked for it.

The interview was very casual, takes less than 20 mins. The officer that interviewed us was friendly. Didn't asked about our pictures, the only document he asked is our marriage license certificate. He gave it back after the interview. We both very prepared, bought all documents since we don't have a lawyer.

Be there are least an hour before your interview. We start falling in line outside the building at 9:30 am, its quite a long line in the security before going inside. Our interview time was 10:30 am. It was really on time, called us in the waiting room exactly 10:30 am.

Good Luck!

Thank you @MsGee! We are scheduled at 8 AM.

Correct, better safe than sorry. Key is always be prepared. And as long as the relationship is genuine then definitely there's nothing to worry. Hoping for the best! Congrats again 😊

Silly question.. does I765 status change to case was approved after new card is being produced? Or does it change straight to card was mailed? So anxious to have my card on hand!!!

New card produced -> Case was approved -> Card was mailed to me

That's how it was for me. The average time seems to be about a week from new card produced to card in hand.

No. It becomes "We mailed your new card for receipt number......" and then it remains like that.

You'll only get the approval status on the paper that they will mail to you.

Congratulations for those who had good news recently!

My case hasn't been updated since May, and I'm being inpatient, especially since there hasn't been any update on the processing of my EAD card.

Hey everyone, I was hoping to get some advice on my case! Here is my timeline so far:

Adjustment of Status
Event Date
CIS Office : San Antonio TX
Date Filed : 2016-01-21
NOA Date : 2016-01-25
RFE(s) : 2016-03-05
Bio. Appt. : 2017-05-04

So its been 536 days since we initially filed our paperwork for AOS from a K1 visa  on Jan 21, 2016 and we are over the average processing times, yet no one seems to be able to help us. I have tried talking with our state rep, our ombudsman, called USCIS on the phone multiple times, and have filed multiple online case inquiries,  and when we went down to the USCIS service center for biometrics no one would tell us anything either. I am at a loss as to why our case is taking so long and why no one will help us. On our case inquires, the few times that they have responded all they have said is "due to work factors unrelated to your case, expect a delay" and then there was one that said if you haven't heard anything in 90 days please contact us, but still nothing. Not only that, but it took 16 months to even receive a biometrics appointment.

He came on a K-1 visa from the United Kingdom and I even have a co sponsor, I am in San Antonio, Tx. If there is any advice y'all can give me or anything that will help please write me.

My husband and I are in San Antonio, too! I'm concerned with my case, too, since I still haven't received my EAD card...I hope you will get more update on your case soon, I'm sorry for not being able to help you much. Good luck to both of us!
