I have a feeling that my wife and I will be waiting for her EAD until august 2nd (75 days after RFIE response received).

No idea why it would take so long. She has been to USA before, even had two visitor visas, one of which expired recently. Never overstayed visitors visa either.

I did include her medical papers with RFIE just to prevent second RFIE/RFE for medical.

Previous stays here have no bearing on the EAD processing times. I've been here on a J1, B1 and B1/B2 before and I've been waiting since February for my work permit.

You can generally expect it to be processed within 90 days of the RFIE document receipt date. I'm an exception.

Is it 90 or 75 after RFIE response was received by USCIS? Lady from USCIS assured me that within 75 days after RFIE was received there should be an update. Even if there is no update a service request can be filed for faster processing. This inconsistency is starting to feel like BS I used to get when preparing my wife's paper in Ukraine. Doesn't feel like america

So happy for you but it worries me so much how I've literally seen everyone getting their EAD before me even though I've been waiting for so much longer. 🙄 I think I'm the only one from the Feb Filers who's left without EAD

i know that feeling. i watched everybody is getting their EAD who filed after me etc. It will come. put some service request and talk to your congresswoman/man

i got update 76 days after then my RFIE. But you know, when they sent a RFIE/RFE it says they will put a hold. And i waited 20 days before i send the answer. So if i remove 20 days from 120 days, which makes 100 days. i don't know which one makes sense more.

I've done both. Service requests and Congressman involved (having heard from the latter). Nothing is happening. Waiting for the response to my second service request now and the lady said I can expect an answer after 30 days... like #######?! I'd be on day 160 then.

Never heard about this 75 day rule after  RFIE received. I've always been told within 90 days but up to 5 months (that was the IO who told me  up to 5 months).

Another February filer with no EAD card here.  We got the approval notice for EAD/AP March 16, but still no card yet.  We filed a service request over a month ago and an expedited service request a couple of days ago. The Tier 2 rep said that we should hear something by next week Friday. If not I am contacting my congressman.

Oh okay let me rephrase it. I think I'm the only Feb Filer without EAD approval. 😉

But oh wow that sucks! I've read posts from you before that said that you still haven't gotten your card yet but would've thought that you'd have it by now! How frustrating.

I've contacted my congressman last Monday haven't heard from him so far.

Yes, not allowed to expedite based on job offer because my main sponsor, my husband makes enough money for the two of us and vouched with the Affdavit of Support to take care of me blabla 🙄

They should not have this rule if you are beyond the 90 days waiting time for the EAD

I think I'll call them in a few minutes and ask to expedite. I'll write a pleading letter like that other VJ member did couple weeks ago who was on day 130.

My employer who's waiting for me sounded a little frustrated yesterday when he asked me whether I have my EAD yet 🙄

The lady on the phone said that I can't expedite it after 90 days. When I said other people do it she said that's a service request because an expedite request is done before the 90 days have passed in order to get faster processing times. She said since I am passed the normal processing times an expedite request can't be done and wouldn't help my case anyways. What?! 😳
