Ok just trying to get an idea of how things are going for March filers.

Comment below on who's waiting for EAD, AOS or both. If you got approved how long did you wait, was there an RFIE or RFE, and type of visa originally filed i.e. K1 (fiancée visa)

Yes I could just go through everyone's timeline but this puts it all in one place for everyone.

I know each case is different and I shouldn't use other peoples to figure out mine. But I'm impatient! And now that the wait is. Beyond the 90 days I have the itch. I know there are people still waiting well beyond 100 days and it's sad.

Thanks ahead to anyone who posts!

I'm currently waiting for both the EAD and AP combo cards.

I'm adjusting my status from a K-1 visa and filed within the 90 days of it's original expiration date!

10th March 2017: Posted AOS package via USPS

13th March 2017: Arrived at Chicago P.O. Box at 8pm

22nd March 2017: 3 USCIS emails that state ‘Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number' Received at 22:20

27th March 2017: NOA1 for I-131, I-845 and I-765 arrive in the post stating the acceptance date on the 14th of March.

7th April 2017: 1st April I-797C NOA 2 Appointment Notice for I485 and I765 is received in the post.

21st April 2017: Biometrics appointment at USCIS office.

I haven't had any updates online since the original posting by the USCIS. I put in a service request on the 14th of June and on the 15th of June it was stated online it was within normal processing times. On the 19th of June attended an appointment at local USCIS and received news that my biometrics are still being processed and my AOS has been for a month and a half trying to schedule an interview.

No RFEs or RFIEs.

I'm currently sitting at day 104 of waiting.

That is something I need to figure out too. I know for the dl or dl extension you need a copy of the approval notice or back and front of card. I expect it is the same for ssid for removal of conditions.

I hope it can mailed.

Ill keep a look out to see what you find or post something if I work it out.

I only needed the EAD card, SSN and the marriage certificate (in California)

but I took all NOAs with me too. EAD and marriage certificate should be enough.

The USCIS aims to make a decision on approving your EAD within 90 days of receipt of your application in accordance with regulation.

There are a few exceptions. The USCIS website has a lot of information on this.

New card being produced (EAD) on day 106, interestingly this was exactly 3 months from the last update.

Got a notice this morning that the card had been mailed on Friday 6/23.

They must either be conservative on the production notice or the production process & mailing is really fast?

Thoughts are with those waiting and stressed out.

The condition "Valid for work only with DHS authorization." on the actual social security card won't get removed until you have the actual green card.

Focus on getting the name changed on the card first and then go back to the SSA when you have your green card in hand.

What I'm doing in California is:

1. After getting new EAD, I submitted an application to have my SS card updated from my former name to my new name - I did this via the SS paper application over snail mail - this is for free.

2. My DMV says after getting my new SS card, only then can I change my DL name. I can already renew my DL for one more year with the EAD, but I'm waiting for the SS card with the new name to hit two birds with one stone.

Still waiting after two weeks for my new SS card.

Timeline:

  • AOS application submitted: 1/28/17
  • NOA1 for 130/765: 2/24/17
  • NOA1 for 485: 3/2/17
  • Biometrics letter: 3/11/17
  • Biometrics appointment: 3/30/17
  • EAD in production: 5/23/17
  • EAD received: 5/26/17
  • AP application received: 9/15/17
  • AP application approved: 12/2/17
  • Interview Notice received: 12/23/17
  • AOS Interview: 1/23/18
  • Approval email/texts: 2/8/18
  • Green Card mailed (hopefully): 2/14/18

On day 90 I filed for another SR I just got an email saying my case is under review! I feel that that's a good sign. Last time on day 75 it took them 3 days to assign and another 2 days to get back to me saying it was within normal processing. Now it also took about 3 days to assign but I got the email the same day.

Trying to see a silver lining in everything these days! 😂😂😂

We have our interview on July 18th! This is so much faster than we were expecting- why might we get it so much sooner than the processing time would indicate? My husband is adjusting from B2, and our received date was March 13th.  He already got his EAD/AP.

It lists things to bring and in the section relating to affidavit of support, it says we need "letters from each current employer and pay stubs for the past two months", but we didn't need this to submit our original affidavit and next to the affidavit it says "unless already submitted". I'll assume we need it but it's frustrating that I can't seem to get through to a human or find an answer to this question when I call.  Getting mine is easy but my sister is a joint sponsor and I worry about her getting a letter in time.

Thanks, that info is very useful.

My wife will use that mail in method to do the ssid name change after interview and I'll be doing it presumably to remove conditions on mine.
