Hello everyone, just to keep updating:

Today I called NCSC to request expediting for my I-765 (EAD). I dialed the number and went through the menu, and finally selected the option to speak to a representative regarding my case. To my surprise, a rep answered almost immediately. I stated that I wanted to request expedited processing, she took down my application/case details, contact info, basis for the I-765 application, etc. She then read out the standard list of expediting criteria and asked me to select from them. I chose severe financial loss and summarized my circumstances, and finally asked for her to read it back to me. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and the USCIS web site updated the case status information right away.

Something that may be of interest: after the rep read out the current case status (which states the Received date for the I-765 filing), she said something to the effect of:

Quote

"OK, wait one moment while I calculate this... okay, so it's already been 75 days... OK, I understand you would like to file an expediting request."

She must have been checking to make sure that the minimum 75 days had passed and that it was now acceptable to place the request. That's good news, because I was concerned that the 75 and 90 day periods were based upon the "Receipt" Notice date, which for me is about a week after the Received date.

Anyway, good luck to everyone, don't lose hope!

So I received my RFE today in the mail.  Can you guys confirm that this is a RFE (Request for Evidence) and not a RFIE (Request for Initial Evidence)? I think it says need additional information, but I want to confirm with you guys.

Also, based on the letter that I have copied a picture of, should I resend the whole application for I-765 and I-131 for my wife and daughter? (All 4 letters that came in the mail today are for the exact same thing), or do I just need to send in a letter indicating my mailing address and where to send the documents, which is my mailing address and not the Preparer's address?

Thanks for your help guys.

@Denis & San thank God it finally came, from my understanding it is RFE and not RFIE, reasons being that you already included your address in your application but since you had a preparer, they wanted to make sure where they will send your EAD. it will not delay your EAD, I believe as soon as the get the response they will update your EAD status immediately. Furthermore, I will suggest you send in a letter indicating and explaining your US mailing address and attach copies of the forms I-765 and I-131 in case. good luck and cheers!!!!

I was told the same also, and it makes sense. VisaJourney should really have received date as a field on the trackers or adjust the explanation on what to put in the noa1 date.

This is depressing coz I badly need a job right now.. I am praying for everyone here and pls include me in your prayers and send some good vibes my way... God bless to all
