I just have a quick question. Is it normal when your AOS case has been transferred to USCIS California Service Center for processing and the receipt number starts with WAC instead of MSC?

Yes it is and currently they are processing a lot faster than NBC.

Really? I've seen many people posted that it would take forever for you to receive your GC if your case is transferred to the CSC instead of NBC. I just felt strange and scared at the same time to know that my case had been transferred to another location.

Am I the only one feeling discouraged again by this entire immigration process after filing AOS? My husband is now working and happy to be doing so but he wants to have his green card instead of playing a waiting game for approval. I am discouraged because a two year delay in the GC delays when he can become a citizen and we can put this process behind us. Also, we will want to petition for his mother once he has citizenship since a visitor visa is near impossible from Dominican Republic. It just seems like our life will revolve around USCIS for the next 3-6 years. I wish there was a more efficient and expeditious process for US immigration.

Well if you look at the processing times ,EAD is currently processed for Jan 15 2017 as of Feb 28th 2017 which is a lot faster than NBC. Well since you are adjusting from F1 like me your case will be forwarded to your local office and it depends on the backlog and workload on your local office before your interview is scheduled.

Sadly I have read the same things about AOS applications at the CSC. What visa are you adjsusting from? I thought they generally only transfer cases to other service centers (not field offices( that might be eligible for the interview waiver, but I could be wrong.

If you're already feeling discouraged now, maybe it's best for you to ditch VJ and just continue living your new life with your husband without thinking much about the process.

Nobody can control anything while dealing with USCIS and all of our hands are tied. Yes, USCIS will be a big part of your life for the next 3-6 years until he becomes a US citizen but that doesn't mean that everything is always about USCIS. As much as I understand that you guys want to petition his family members, there is nothing you can do to speed up this process so just embrace the time together and make the best out of the time until the time comes and he can apply for US citizenship.

Thank you for the info! I looked at their processing time, too. I didn't see the processing time for I-485 and I-130 at the NBC thou.

Anyway, good luck to both of us!

I'm adjusting from F-1 visa, and you were right, I've read that  the cases transferred to CSC will likely be approved without an interview. However, I don't think it applies to international students. I've seen some people haven't received the GC after almost a year, and their cases are being processed at the CSC. That's why I don't know how long it's gonna take for them to process my case.

So just got home and recieved my RFIE letter in the mail today.... it wasn't my medical like i thought, it was my second guess of I-864 :(

and is now leaving me in a bit of a stressful situation.

They are asking for:

- pay stubs for the last 6 months

- letter of employment with salary earned

- "submit evidence of asests that meet the standards listed below or obtain a joint sponsor. Assets must equal the stated difference between the petitioner's household income and 125% of the poverty guideline. Assests must equal three times the difference for a spouse of a US Citizen.

Our issue is, he has just switched jobs, so do we include the last 6 months of pay stubs from his old job and then letter with salary of his new job and a letter than explains that situation, and will that even be accepted?

And anyone know whether school financial aid is accepted as your income, cos we included that, and believed when we submitted our application that we were above the 125%

Any help would be appreciated, I don't really want to go down the route of joint sponsor at this point.

04/11/17: Received hardcopies of all 4 NOAs in the mail

Did you include 3 years tax transcripts previously?

i would include letter explaining job change.

All pay stubs for last 6 months.

Proof of past salary and letter of employment with new salary.

Financial aid cannot be counted as income on taxes.

A joint sponsor may be needed if income is not above $20,300 for a family of 2.
