What does it say online when you go online on the USCIS website and it says "On MONTH DAY, we've received your case I-???..."? That's the date that matters.

For I-765 and I-131 it says: On  February 24th we received your form I-765/I-131...

For I-485 it says: On March 10, 2017, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485...

Haven't gotten an RFE/RFIE yet.

Why am I on day 56? I started counting from 02/23. That's the received date.

I am SO confused now :D

I got rfe but the date from received date is 61 days and that's exactly what the app says

Oh okay good, it was just a misunderstanding then because your timeline displays completely different dates. Best of luck tomorrow when you call.

I have to follow the dates on the USCIS website when I check my status or the ones I posted as my signature.

The ones you see when you click on my timeline are messed up and not the correct dates.

Becci, you had your Biometrics weeks after me! How is that possible? You didn't get your NOA before me remember?! After I had mine you were going crazy because you thought they lost the application. You have a receive date of March 10th or something and your biometrics was early April if I remember correctly. Are you looking at the right dates???

You have to count the 75 days from March 10th and not when you send the application off. I remember you sent the application off a day before me. My receive date is Feb 27 and yours was 2 weeks after mine.

Those are the dates when I check my status on the USCIS website.

All I want to know is which date I have to follow, the received or the notice date. Some people say received date other say that I should follow the notice date. Which is the correct one?

The timeline I posted in my signature is the correct one.

Yes take the Feb 24th and count...is that the same date on your NOA that you received? Look at the box where it says "Receipt date". Do you notice how they messed up your dates though? They said you had your biometrics on March 10th but you had it an entire month later in April...

NOA1 hard copy received date: February 24th, 2017

It says that they accepted the fingerprints fee on March 10th. But yes, the Biometrics appointment was on April 11th.

I don't get it why they messed up my dates...they already messed up my K1-visa application last year...

Status hasn't changed since March 20th.

That's not how it works. To be honest I think it's time to throw that kind of logic out the window when it comes to USCIS right now.

I had my biometrics appointment on the 30th or March and my I-485 status is at "Fingerprint fee received..." since March 3rd. I understand your POV and how you want to apply logic to what's going on, but it's not working. Her timeline isn't that crazy, the only "issue" she had is that she got her notifications way later than she should have.

If anyone here is from Michigan, I found this on the state website..... to get your drivers license and or state ID. I know some from this group said that they were having troubles in Michigan.

1 document from the social security i.e.: social security card

1 document of legal presence: it states that: expired USCIS documents may be presented if accompanied by an I-797 receipt indicating an AOS or extension of stay. A valid unexpired foreign passport must also be submitted.

Also marrage license and 2 utility bills or something with your address on it.

So so I hope this helps we are going to try on Saturday, and will let everyone know the out come.

Sorry I forgot that they put fingerprint fee received no matter what you do. I never had it so I can't relate and didn't know that you have that before your biometrics appointment.

What does your status update say, RFE or RFIE?

But yes, that might be the reason why you got the status update.
