Now I have another problem. ...ehh.....

so on 04/13, I have opened a service request online to request checking on my biometric appointment letter, since I have been waiting for longer than usual. it told me to expecting answer by 05/07. On 04/21, I have received my bio appointment letter and went for the appointment on 05/03. Today, 05/05 I have received a letter from USCIS said they have proved my request (which I never did, I only opened request to check on my case) rescheduled my bio appointment on 05/22.....

I have already done my bio. should I just ignore it or should I go to the appointment again?

have called USCIS and after hearing my case, the representative refused to transfer me to tier 2, since it is "too late" (called on 5:45pm) .......asked me to call back on Monday.

I think I can just ignore it since they already have my fingerprints. I know a lot of filers go get their biometric done right after receiving biometric letters, sometimes even 2 weeks earlier than their actual appointment. I will still try to call them on Monday or just walk in to the application support center see if I need to do my bio again.

03/14/2017 AOS package arrived (I-485, I-765, I-130, I-131)

03/23/2017 1st NOAs received (text and emails for all 4 forms)

07/03/2017 EAD card is being produced

07/07/2017 EAD card is mailed to me

I would call just to be in the safe side. I highly doubt that you'll need to go again, but you don't want to risk a denied petition because you didn't appear to the second biometrics appointment for some reason.

Sorry you have these issues, but I hope nothing serious comes of it.

unfortunately I am transferring from H1B, so there definitely will be an interview for me.

if you reschedule, they'll put you at the end of the queue again, potentially delaying your approval by months. Really try to avoid rescheduling your AOS, as others have pointed out here.

Thanks. i wouldn't call it a second biometrics, because in the letter, they attached a copy of my original bio letter, then using red pen crossed over (big "X" ) the time and location, a copy of letter for my new/rescheduled appointment with location and time circled by a red pen.....

But I will still call them on Monday or walk in the biometric center later this week just to be safe.

Hello, did you include your completed medical form with your AOS application?  If not, that could be the reason why you are getting the notice.  Medical reports, to the best of my knowledge, are valid for a year from the time they were taken, so you need not take other vaccinations.  Anyone out there with additional info?

So I went for a job interview yesterday, and reallly in two minds how I feel about the outcome, because they said I was more than qualified but needed someone to start within 2 weeks (which obviously I can't do) however have given me a number to call when I had my authorisation to work and they'll find something for me. So positive, but frustrating that if I had my EAD I'd have a job to start.

Random question, I've been looking at the february filers, who are starting to get their EADs approved, some of them are mentioning ringing on day 75.... does anyone know what that is about? I thought it was 90 days that we'd have to wait?

It doesn't mean that you get your EAD after 90 days. 90 days is just the average time frame but some people get their EAD sooner. Other people have to wait longer.

After  75 days( start counting the days from your NOA1 notice date) you can call USCIS and submit a service request about your case. For example, if your status for EAD and AP hasn't changed since the first time you were able to check your status.

I took my wife to the biometrics appointment yesterday at 9 AM in Santa Rosa, CA. We did not bring the marriage certificate. The guy who signed us in at the door acted as though we should have brought it because the name on her passport is her maiden name. Once we went in for the photo and fingerprints, the lady never asked for my ID card or proof of marriage. The whole thing took about 30 minutes.

You should've taken the marriage certificate as proof of name change, since the passport and aos papers names do not match, the guy was nice enough not to give you any trouble.
