You've read what the others did... of course you can file to expedite because it's a job offer, the problem will be that they also want to see proof of financial hardship which is tough if you don't have a co-sponsor and your husband is the main sponsor.

Or you convince them that you're an ideal candidate for this job so they'd be willing to wait until you have your work permit in hand.

Those are your two options... but I'm sure you knew that already....

Don't know about financial hardship, but financial loss can be proven pretty easily.

Salary + potential bonuses + benefits + stock units if your company offers that are pretty big things to miss out on. I selected financial loss to an individual, not financial hardship and only supplied all the info and benefits that my job would offer me. We will see if it's enough.

We neither have financial hardship nor financial losses.

I just applied for a job and had no idea that they would like to set up an interview. I am still surprised that I got an response from the company.

But yes, I don't know if that is a reason to expedite my EAD. I will give it a try and see if USCIS accepts the job offer or not.

Neither do we, but it would be a financial loss to me and my wife if I can't accept the job. Missing out on a steady job salary with benefits surely sounds like a loss to me if I can't accept the job due to not having the EAD

Let us know whether it works... it wasn't sufficient proof for a lot of January Filers. Often they just don't get back to you until it seems like you would've gotten your EAD approved anyways. Anyone can expedite based on financial loss. Like literally every single one of us.  I think they still look at your financial papers you submitted and based on how much your overall financial situation is (looking at the I-864) they approved it or not.

I don't know if they will see it that way. Your sponsor signed an affidavit of support basically saying that they'll support you until you have your EAD. So I think unless something happens with your sponsor and they lose their job or whatnot I don't think it counts. But I hope for you it does. So please let us know if they do approve it.

Alright I understand that point of view too. We will see what happens, all I know right now is that I'd hate to lose this job offer.

I'll post an update once I know more.

Expedite requested on the April 26th

Expedite request "completed" April 27th

Additional evidence sent in via fax May 3rd

Good news for me. My future employer just sent me an email and said they're willing to move my start date back to June 19th. By then it'll be exactly 6 weeks or 112 days since the received date according to USCIS. I really hope I will have my EAD in hand so I can fill out the I-9 and everything else in a timely manner. It sucked not knowing if I can keep this job or not.

Absolutely. The sooner, the better. Soon it'll be our turn to get our hands on the EAD's.

Best of luck to all of us.

@TL2016

The notification says they contacrted me, but I don't have any email from them...

@TL2016 Sorry, I meant to quote you for this one here.

Call the info line, tell them you want to expedite your EAD, they will ask you few questions, and you'll get a confirmation number.

I requested an expedite on Monday the lady told me that somebody will contact me within 5 days.. my Case History shows the same - that they sent a response and "case is completed" ... I haven't received any email or phone call from USCIS. Schall I wait now till Monday and call them again?

Did you give them your email on the phone during the expedite request? If so, expect an email instead of regular mail. If you didn't, then they'll send an actual letter asking for evidence.

However if you did tell them an email and you haven't received anything by Thursday evening or Friday morning, call them, tell them that you didn't get anything and they should be able to tell you an Attention Number (referred as "ATTN:" on the phone) and a fax number and then fax them all your evidence. It seems like the emails they're supposed to send you don't actually arrive.

This is weird that the emails doesn't  arrive. I've given them my email address and phone number. I'll wait until until the end of the week and see what happens. Thanks so much !!

Hey y'all,

I was wondering who brought a will/ wills to the AOS interview? Are they considered as good proof?
