I called them on day 6 (originally they said they will contact me within 5 days), but they said there's no update. Called them on day 7 again- I was told the response was sent out on day 1, but then got disconnected. Called back, the consultant didn't want to give me information, just told me to wait another 5 days (even though I was already told they answered!!!), I politely said thank you and hang up. Called again, talked to another consultant and this time I got all the information I needed to send the supporting documentation.

I guess I'll call again tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

Look at your field office processing times. You have around 170 days to prepare for your interview. Plenty of time!

That is GREAT to hear. I was scared that I might have not had enough time to prepare for the interview. Thank you so much for the information!

You still have a lot of time to prepare for the interview. Just because your case is ready for an interview, does not mean that you'll actually get an interview soon.

The average time from biometrics to interview is about 150 days for San Antonio. And according to the USCIS website (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do), they're still working on cases from late summer 2016.

Try to relax until you've got the actual interview letter in hand. What will be beneficial for the interview are financial evidence of you two as a married couple, photos, tax returns etc.

@SAK214 congratulations on your update. Just gather some paperwork that shows your marriage in good faith like joint lease, joint insurance (car, health and life), joint checking account, pictures etc, just anything legit. Good luck.

Thank you so much for your information, and shame on me for not knowing about the processing time in my own city!

Yes, I prepared all that when I submitted the AOS package, and I'll put together a new set of evidence for the interview. I also have more photos of me and my mother-in-law to add, as well!

Thank you! We already have joint lease, car & health insurance, and are also opening a joint bank account. Thankfully we seem to have plenty of time to gather more evidence!

No worries, this whole process can be a little overwhelming at times.

But really, don't think about the interview too much. The AOS interview for most K-1'ers is super easy and relaxed. Considering you're from a super low fraud country and looking at all the evidence you already have, I wouldn't worry about it one bit.

Thank you, now that I know I have plenty of time to prepare, I feel a lot better!! I'm adjusting from F-1, so I'm not sure if that makes my case any harder than K-1.

I'll try to relax and prepare for the interview with my husband!:)
