Filling AoS from f-1 in two days, still have a few questions

Hi all,

This forum is really helpful

 

I still have 3 questions:

1) I have F-1 visa + OPT approval.   On form I-485 they ask for the visa number. where do I find this?

 

2) I entered the u.s again after visiting my family and came back on jan 01. I am filling on March 2nd in hope to get my new EAD before my current one expires.

Should I add something about the timeline? explain that I only left for a visit and the actual activation of my f-1 visa was 18 months ago?

 

3) I feel stupid to ask but I don't understand how to organize the huge pile of papers I have so they are easy to access by the immigration person? I was told to use binder clips but than should I just have two packages clipped? any help will be appreciated

1) Your visa number is printed in red on the visa itself. 

 

2) It's generally not recommended that you supply any information not specifically asked for.

1) the visa number is stamped in red on the visa.

 

2) You dont have to explain all travel history unless they ask about it. All you need is a copy of I94 whic can be printed on the website 

 

3) I put all documents pertaining to each form in a poly sheet proctector and stapled and clipped the paperwork with checks or ID pictures (see example attached). I then put all sheets in a big envelope which I bought at the post office. 

 

I have F1 visa too. Let me know if you have more questions.
