Hmmm, to be honest, no one from any of us could tell you if you could be there on July, i dont wanna burst the hope you have in there, but  i want you to know that we sent our document last November 2016, have my scan date January 13, was told to wait for 11 weeks for the review, i just called a few mins ago, (11 weeks for my documents after they scanneditandup until now, it's still in the review department and they have NOT started reviewing it)

Lets just continue to pray, though  there are some that gets their cases  complete on the 10th week, and if you'd be blessed as well, you'd get your case completed on last week of May, interview will prolly be on july

i do hope and wish you all the best.. as well as all co-filers

Thanks @R and KJ for you very kind words. I pray for you that you get your case complete this week.

Just called NVC. They said we are in the review part now. Ugh I'm just hoping we don't get a checklist, I'm so worried. I cannot imagine waiting another 8-11 weeks. Scan date: Jan 30th. If you have a January scan date please keep updating! It makes me hopeful. Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I had my case approved for expedite request.  Although, I'm maybe two weeks from receiving CC from NVC...I may have delayed myself by doing this haha.  NVC no longer has my case, it has been forwarded to the Consulate who will finish the review and schedule interview, etc.

I know that the next step is the Medical exam, which we had completed in January. I'm concerned they will make us get another one, has anyone gotten the medical completed well in advance of the interview date? Was there an issue with that?  The doctor sent the results to the consulate directly in January, but i'm worried that if the consulate didn't have a pending interview they may not have kept the documents and will ask for new ones.  That s##t was expensive so i'm hoping we don't have to do it again!

Would you please ask him how he was able to apply online with NRA on 1040? I mean which software or web-service did he use?

I asked him when I did my taxes and and  he said it was it was fine. IRS accepted my Tax returns and I got my refunds after a week of filing taxes. I have put NRA for my wife's SSN

Congrats!!!!

It certainly does not pose any impact on the interviews before "Tax Date" as evidenced by your own interview; but it will be an issue when you are just mailing your Packages to NVC and as we can all see it is taking them at least 10-12 weeks for review.

I understand that "NRA" can be sent in place of SSN when filing as "Married Filing Separately" and you are not claiming any deductions for your spouse. We filed the same way.

You said your relative filed online with "NRA" in place of SSN, right? I want to know if this is true, what application/software he used to do so? We had to paper file 1040, because we needed to file "Married Filing Separately" with "NRA".

My tax forms were submitted electronically. I don't know what software he used to file my taxes though. He uses one of the commercial software that accountants use.

Any Case Completes today ?

I was expecting them to complete all of January's by the end of this month but, I don't see it happening. Trying to stay optimistic but, its hard. It will be a year tomorrow since we started this ridiculous process ( PD was March 29th ) .

I will be really upset if we don't get May interview. This is just awful .
