the 1864ez is a shorter version about 7 pages long. you can you use it if you are sponsoring only one person and with only your income without a co-sponsor. you can do the EZ form or the other doesn't make a difference.

maybe it's really best to bring all things you can and be extra prepared :) and i read that when they saw how prepared you are the less chance of asking you stuffs and the quicker the interview :)

good luck to all with upcoming interview :)

A few questions:

1) Do I need a document cover sheet for electronic processing?

2) Do I name files of the joint sponsor’s documents the same as the other files (with the joint sponsor’s name)?

3) Does the IRS transcripts obtained by e-mail has to be scanned or can I send them as I received by e-mail (in PDF, but not scanned)?

4) Has anyone ever got a checklist for leaving non-applicable text boxes blank?

Our lawyer told us we didn't have to include the police certificate and that we just have to bring it to the interview because it will be the most updated (I double checked with her because I did read on the NVC website that you have to send it but she told me she has been working with the NVC for a long time and that it wasn't necessary .... God I hope she is right because getting a checklist at week 18 is not my idea)

u do need to send the police certificate to NVC

I read people have experience cos the police certificate

for interview u do need to bring an update one, but that is checking for the time from u send document to NVC to ur interview day

sending to NVC -> YES

bring an update one to interview -> YES

Says to send a copy on the NVC website and original to the interview. I guess since the wait time is much longer nowadays they want the updated police report?
