Oh wow , I guess NVC updated the cover letter since last year which I've been using as a reference.

They civil documents to precede the financials and they clarified Proof of Relationship requirements.  

 

Thanks, this really helps the rest of us in preparing.  Does anyone else with a recent welcome letter happen to have a screenshot they can share for reference?  Wondering if this new document cover sheet applies for all cases.

Well I got that cover sheet/check list but I also got the one you get when you paid the fees!!

by the way in my case they didn't even ask for pictures of the applicant!!,

I don't know if the photos were necessarily required, I got that from a guide on this site. I figured you can never have too much evidence!

This is absolutely right.  It is better to front load your application.  @yoel if you sent in photos at the I-130 stage, you can include some more at this stage.  From above, I would very much recommend that you send in the police certificate now because most likely, you will receive a checklist for it.  It is better waiting a week or so to ensure you have everything in this package than receiving a checklist after 12 weeks, and then having to wait another 12 weeks once you send in the requested documents.  When they ask for evidence of a relationship, pictures are usually included with that evidence.

we clipped altogether in a BIG binder clip and placed it in a brown envelope, dont forget to write your casenumber and name good luck

Yes you're correct  :-)

NVC confirmed to me over the phone and by email that I was to send both the AOS and IV packages in ONE package, but separated out... for example I put them in two separate folders but the same envelope.  Others have done so by putting AOS in one envelope, IV in the other envelope, and putting both of those in a bigger envelope together.

I was told by NVC they needed to receive my police certificate (in my case there are 3 different countries as I've moved a bit) and that they won't send it to the embassy until they have them. I've not heard of them letting you just bring it to the interview, as NVC's job is to check all documents before that stage to ensure you're ready for your interview.

I had the same document checklist pictured above.  I personally didn't use it but instead made my own table of contents... simply because my case number changed due to a  country move and when they reissued my letter and case number they didn't provide a new checklist. I didn't want to risk sending one with a diff case number or "editing" their official document.  But this is the same list I was given from them.

We provided a lot of pictures, flight itinerary etc from trips with our USCIS package, then we kept collecting stuff since then and when it got to NVC we provided pictures and itinerary of trips since then, pregnancy letter and scans, and so on to show the continuation of the relationship.    We figured better to provide too much than not enough.

Our lawyer told us we didn't have to include the police certificate and that we just have to bring it to the interview because it will be the most updated (I double checked with her because I did read on the NVC website that you have to send it but she told me she has been working with the NVC for a long time and that it wasn't necessary .... God I hope she is right because getting a checklist at week 18 is not my idea)

Week 18?!! is that where you're at now?  That's crazy.  Maybe its different for different countries regarding the police certificate but that seems odd. It's on the list in "submit supporting documents" on their website, as well as the document cover sheet for NVC.  I hope for your sake your lawyer knows something we don't.

Have officially received notice on the completion of my case this morning Vai email...Case completed last week Monday..20th March 2017.

This is our 8th week at NVC (from the second scan date - 17th from the 1st scan date). Looks like we have at least another 3 weeks of waiting

 

Curious to know what week yall are on?!
