Hello,

Same thing with me!!

My scan date is Jan 18th and our case was never reviewed. Now it has been transferred to the review department.
I am being told the same that I might take up to 6 weeks for the review to complete :(.

It's seriously not fair!!

I'm praying it's sooner than later!!

I plan on calling and annoying them until they tell me what I want to hear. Lol hopefully that works lol

So, I just called NVC to make sure if they received my packages or not and they confirmed that they showed up in mail room today so scan date is going to be March 20th, 2017 (Please correct me if I'm wrong about my scan date). Then I asked how long it's going to take them to review my documents and he said "as of today, the review time has been increased from 8 weeks to 11 weeks"

I'm not happy at all. I hope they review it before that. :(

Congratulations! Such awesome news :jest:

if you don't mind me asking... did your case go into review with a supervisor or you didn't make that request?

No....I just called to find out about the status of my case and was told by the lady that they started the review from march 8th so they will notify me after the review that is last Friday and my sister called again Monday morning to find out about the status of our case and was told that they will soon finish reviewing the case...I then checked back in the evening with the site and there was our 3rd N/A.

Automated system keep saying "Due to large number of caller, all the representative all busy" then phone call end automatically.

When do you usually call to speak with supervisor or representative? Is there alternative ph line that I can call? I was trying to get my case number.

Thanks

Thank you.  In still confuse. I am the petitioner,  us citizen &  divorce. Do I still have to send my birth certificate even though I'm sending copy of passport.

NVC won't require your birth certificate as the petitioner if you're able to provide your passport (and proof of domicile if you're not living in the US currently).  However I have heard of "some" embassys asking for it at the interview ... my embassy wasn't able to conclusively tell me if they would need it or not, and that I would have to wait til they receive my file from NVC to let me know.

Try to call first thing in the morning. I called once at 7 a.m. And my call went straight to a representative. It's worth waking up earlier then sitting on hold for 30 min. Good luck!!
