My country issues two original marriage certificates, one in English and one in my native language. Do I need to send a photocopy of just English or both?

i would just send both documents, they need photocopies anyway so i would send as many documents as possible to make sure i wont get any checklist

Happy Monday Everybody ;)

Praying for lots and lotsss of CC's this week

Scan Date January 18

Hiii!

Yesss, Let's hope we all get CC's soon!

my scan date was the 19th and last Monday when I called in I was told I was moved to review department, but then when I called in Friday the rep told me it still wasn't complete and followed to say she would send to supervisor to get my case going. She said it can maybe take up to 6 weeks for them to finish the review but that didn't mean it would take that long. Ugh!! I'm probably going to call back  next week and ask to speak to a supervisor. Hopefully there's no set backs

Thank you.  In still confuse. I am the petitioner,  us citizen &  divorce. Do I still have to send my birth certificate even though I'm sending copy of passport.

So according to them, you would need to send in the beneficiary's birth certificate. They won't ask for yours since your sent your passport. You can try to call them to make sure if you're feeling nervous. I sent my US passport page but since I'm also naturalized, i sent a copy of my naturalization certificate.

09/24 - Sent out I-130 to Phoenix, AZ

09/26 - Received at Phoenix (somewhere in between, the I-797 was mailed and marked back to sender due to post office error)

10/24 - Finally got the I-797 NOA-1 resent to me - forwarded my case to NSC

11/04 - Status changed to RFE

11/12 - Got the RFE letter in the mail (certified copy of marriage certificate)

11/18 - Mailed in RFE response

11/21 - RFE received at USCIS

11/21 - RFE status changed to response review

11/29 - Case approved at USCIS

12/03 - Received NOA-2 in the mail

12/09 - Case sent to NVC

12/15 - Case received by NVC

12/20 - NVC case number and IIN assigned

12/21 - DS-261 submitted online & gave email addresses

all my husband sent was the copy of his passport and driver's license, if you are divorced you have to send in your divorce document too.

We have an instance. The Tax year in US is Jan-Dec. My husband was filling his tax forms and had to include my income as well. Now the tax year in my home country is not the same. The CPA is asking for the tax return(you call it tax transcript) statement or we need to ask for a tax extension. It could take me quite a few months to pay my taxes in my home country?

Has anybody encountered the same? How did you get through? Any help regarding this would be great.

Why does CPA need your income as well?

You can just file as "Married filing saperately" (this requires you to paper file 1040). When you reach US, you can amend 2016 return to "Married filing jointly". This is way more easier and quick.

Hello,

Same thing with me!!

My scan date is Jan 18th and our case was never reviewed. Now it has been transferred to the review department.
I am being told the same that I might take up to 6 weeks for the review to complete :(.

It's seriously not fair!!

Hi @juliamccull, so here is a little giveaway that your case has reached a case complete status. You log into your ceac, where you paid the fees online. Click on the DS-260 payment link. Then if you log in to your page, and you notice that one of the "PAID" links turns into an "N/A's" (so usually you would see 2 N/A's, but then one paid turns into the third N/A), you can call to confirm because that is an unofficial sign that you have a case complete.

Hopefully the pictures help.
