please anybody with any idea about this?

Step 2: Register for Courier Service/Other Pre-Interview Instructions

Many U.S. Embassies and Consulates require visa applicants to pre-register for courier services. This service is for returning applicant passports and visas to them after the interview. Each consular section also has unique entry and security requirements, including whether applicants can bring cell phones into the embassy or consulate. Before your interview, read the specific requirements for where you will be interviewed. Select the city of the U.S?

Our petition is on its way to NVC, just got sent from USCIS on Monday. Hoping to get everything submitted to NVC within the next couple of weeks.

How long has it been taking for a case number to be assigned after being received at NVC?

I got mine about 8 days after it was received.

Thanks, seems like most people have been getting their case number around a week or so after NVC receives it. I think in about a week I will start calling every day to see if the case number has been assigned yet.

Hi everyone I have been a reader and all of your posts have helped us understand the NVC process. My husband's scan date was November 22 and we still don't have any news!! We have called many times and listened to many customer reps that our case looks good and we should hear soon... This is our 14th week of waiting and we are starting to lose our hope of hearing anytime soon :/ luckily, one rep did say that Juarez accepts a lot of interviews so we are hopeful that once the case is completed his interview date will come soon after.

Hi all, just starting out on our NVC journey. I've been wondering what the current time is to get a case number assigned and wanted to pass this info on; our I130 approved 2/6, mailed to NVC 2/17, NVC received 2/24, case number assigned yesterday 3/1. I had a nice rep on the phone, she was about to process the DS261 for me over the phone but said its not yet available and to call back after receiving the welcome letter and submit it over the phone, as it saves a few weeks' time. Should i not fill out the DS261 online until i call them? Thanks for sharing your knowledge, everyone.

Scan date self dec 18, daughters second scan date: jan 21

Noted 3 N/As but got a checklist email now.  It does say to take it to interview.  Minor stuff like daughter's renewed passport copy and some W2 papers for 2015 tax return.  Am sure hubby knows what it is.

i guess its considered case complete right?  Email says "checklist"

Wow, your case number was assigned quickly after NVC received your approved petition. Hoping we can get our case number that fast; next week would be nice. :)
