My wife's interview at the US Embassy in Tokyo was on Monday March 13th. She now has the Visa paperwork for her entry to the US.  Just 3 days.  

 

Now we are finally back in control of our lives.....

I havent been able to call yet, im going to try this afternoon. Im cautiously optimistic about it, but I just cant foresee getting a cc just 2 (open for) business days after emailing the docs... If i had to guess they probably recevied all the docs they need and sending it to review... I'll report back with what i hear. Funny thing, the status on CEAC changed to:

What do I need to do now?

You do not need to do anything now but wait. Once NVC reviews your Form DS-261, NVC will send your agent* a letter or email with next steps.

 

DS261 was reviewed like 2 weeks ago, all fees paid, DS260 completed, docs confirmed received. We shall see......

Paid my IV fee today. Fees now shows In Process

 

Would I be allowed to fill in DS 260 after IV fee turns to 'PAID'?

Yes, you should be able to access the link as soon as it turns to "PAID"

So I called NVC just now the ladies told me, my case was recieved but they're in the processes of putting it in the system now...how long will it take to get a case number ???

It took me 6 days including the day they were closed due to the storm!!

I just chose the agent and was going to pay the fee, but it appears this message: "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

 

Is that normal?

Don't panic. That happens. Try accessing the portal again later.

Called almost everyday and got the same response. This waiting is horrible ....sigh
