I guess whats not fair is that people are still getting through this process in just a few weeks.    Met some of my Japanese friends this weekend and one of them was saying that 3 of her friends got married in Japan and got their Visa to come to the US after just a few weeks.

Hearing that makes me angry and dumbfounded and curious about where the loophole in the process is.  If I applied from Japan - would I have gotten everything done faster?   All these thoughts running through my head because no-one can give me the 500 days that we lost back to us.

, saw that there is DCF and EP process, only learned that when i joined this forum, my husband didnt know about it as well, and to think we even asked for suggestions from someone knowledgeable about applications..

let us pray and hope that it would be very very quick for all of us here

Hoping we all could hear that soon when we call, congratulations!

Has anyone sent in their AOS/IV packet from overseas to the NVC in the US? I am waiting for my IV bill then I would like to send in these packets ASAP. However I am in Sweden with my SO.

I can gather and print the documents and DHL them from Sweden NP or I can have a family member print out everything and mail it in from the USA. I really dont want to put the pressure on someone else let a lone not know if they get everything 100%. I just dont want some kinda of "red flag" happening because it was physically mailed from Sweden.

Received and Paid IV fees. Now waiting for IV application to be available. Hopefully, it'll be available in 2 days. I do have some questions.

1). Should I go ahead and send AOS and IV package NOW or wait until I fill out and finish IV application?

2). I'm moving to a new apartment after a month. Should I write my new address in IV application now or give NVC a call after I move in a month? keep in mind that I wrote my current address in DS-261 (Choice of Agent)

Any advice is appreciated. :)

A Japanese person just needs to register in ESTA and they can travel to the US for 90 days on the Visa-waiver program.  They said green card, and it wasn't the green card lottery so I can only assume it was the IR-1/CR-1 and I confirmed that it was recent because I know already a few years ago it did only take but a few short months to complete all this with the Embassy.

OK the waiver and then filing concurrently!

I have heard many people follow the same practice with a Visitor's visa; though not advisable as the intent varies.

I can only say "Lucky Them!!"

I know what EP is and is not applicable for my Country of Origin.

But what is DCF? Is it any different than manually sending in the packages to the NVC?

My Australian Co-worker did this. He came on a visa waver and got married before 90 days and then adjusted. It took him months to get through it without the ability to work. Also it did not sound fun and seemed risky but he did make it and is now a us citizen.

Hello,

So I have been following these discussions for a while. Just wanted to give some hope.

Scan date: 1/20/2017

I saw 3 N/A's today, I check everyday, I haven't called as yet to confirm but based on what I see from others, this should be a good sign ?

Wow ! Lucky you... Did you call and confirm ?

My scan date is 01/18 . Hopefully I will get a case complete soon too. Congratulations

Wow!!

Most of us have heard about people getting their green card like this, it was not worth the risk for us. Also we both work , so to have my wife come here and for the 90 days then wait for AoS would be straining financially and mentally for her,

I called last night and confirmed, our case is complete ?, he said all our paperwork looked good. I sent an email inquiry on 2/22/2017, they responded 3/14/2017 that it was currently being reviewed and when I checked at the end of the day, I saw I had the other N/A. The rep says we will receive an email with the interview date when they get one from the embassy. Praying everyone who is waiting gets their cc soon.
