It's so hard sometimes thinking about the fact that someone holds my future in their hands.  I am married and am forced to live apart from my husband.  I can't think about it too long because I start to feel helpless and weak and I am trying to remain strong here.  I just hate that for them it's just 6-8 more weeks but to us that feels like an enternity.  They can go home to their spouse I am pretty sure yet I have to sleep along.  It just feels so unjust and unfair.  This is my family!!!  Sorry for the rant, but I just feel like a number on someone's desk at this point and it is really getting to me.  How can you torture families like this? I understand there being a process but having to wait months and months, really with no really accountability when it comes to timing!?!? I have missed so many birthday parties and special moments because of this process and I hate it!! It like they don't care!! Sorry you all I know that others probably feel similar.

I agree with you it isn't fair also how they say "up to 8 weeks" when this is our 16th week waiting already and no answers!! We have to stay positive and have hope during this long and frustrating process because once it is over we don't have to do this again ??

A case I'm helping for a family member just got looked at after almost 10 weeks. I called NVC and they tell me that there's a page missing from the co sponsors 1864a. I asked her if it's possible for us to just bring it to the interview so we don't restart the clock after waiting 10 weeks and she says she highly doubts it but that I should speak to a supervisor. She took my number and said they will call me back. Does anyone know if there's any luck in just getting them to let the family bring the missing paper to the interview?

Hello,

So I have been following these discussions for a while. Just wanted to give some hope.

Scan date: 1/20/2017

I saw 3 N/A's today, I check everyday, I haven't called as yet to confirm but based on what I see from others, this should be a good sign ?

Usually people talk to an NVC rep if they want to find out their interview date much earlier than the official interview letter they send. :)

I called the NVC to check on some mail I received Saturday about updating my address(which hasn't changed). While on the phone, I ask the rep what month they were scheduling for, and the possibility of a May interview.  That's when she told me my wife was scheduled for April 18. I almost hit the floor I was so excited!  Lol. She told it was just scheduled today.
