Hi all, new here :)

Scan date: Jan 13th.

Still waiting on a CC...called the NVC last week and was told our case has been moved to the "document review room", which I took to be good news. But then I called back a couple days later and was informed that the NVC is really backlogged and it might be another 6 weeks or so to review our case, even though we've already waited the 6 weeks-turned-8 weeks they originally told us. The lady on the phone sounded really apologetic.

We are so frustrated, and it looks like there are more of you here that are in the exact same boat... Anything anyone has done to make it go faster?

Also, I have a question about the 3 N/A's. So far, we have 2. Does that mean we're getting close to the 3rd one, or does it start with 2 in the first place?

Thanks, everyone. Glad to have found this community of people going through the same thing we are! Good luck everyone!! :)

2 N/A's is always there only the 3N/A's come later after your case is complete.it will only let know that your case is complete before NVC notification.

Waiting for cc also here. Scan date is Jan. 12th. They might not work on Tuesday and Wednesday delay due to Nor'easter . Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 feet. Another delayed days. ughh!!!!

My scan date jan 13, i just called, didn't hear good news though,

i asked if it is currently being reviewed or is it sitting still, and guess what she told me, it feels like my heart is broken into pieces, "ma'am, we received a note to start reviewing your case" i say what?

"Up to this moment, 8 weeks after, it's still not being reviewed or not even flipped a page? "

And sadly, she uttered "not yet" but we will be working it out soon"

i asked how long should i hear from them

she said "anytime this week up to 6weeks"

Hey Guys,

My scan date is January 18th. I was told the same thing when I called to check the status last week. I can call when my 8 weeks are up and they will put my case to supervisor review / review department. Also, the rep said it can take up to 6 weeks once the case is in the review. Sigh.. I am so done with this process. PD was March 29th. Haven't seen my husband since July. Trying to stay strong. I pray we all get CC's soon.

I hope you get your CC soon too! By the way, how do you find out your priority date? And what does that mean? I've been wondering about that...

thank you. Oh priority date is NOA1 ( Notice of receipt of your petition ). In other words, submission of Form I-130. I send mine back in March of 2016 . USCIS received it and gave me a PD of March 29th. It took them forever to approve my I-130 no RFE's . Smh... I was hoping NVC would be a little faster but, it doesn't look like it.  I can only DREAM and PRAY for an April interview but, I guess it would be most likely May .

Oh, then I guess our PD is May 4. Actually the UCSIS stage didn't take too long for us and we thought that the whole process would go quickly. Ha! What did we know? :) I hope you get your April interview too! We're almost there...I hope...

I did the EP submission as well.  Below is my update thus far:

--  March 4th: Sent an email with the AOS and civil documents attached

--  March 10th: Received an email from AskNVC@state.gov informing me that my income on i-864 did not meet the poverty guidelines requirement. As I am living abroad with my spouse and children, I entered 0 as my individual income.  I am using my assets to meet the requirement instead.

In my personal opinion, the 2-3 weeks estimation for EP case completion is spot on.

good info to know, thanks for sharing

Hi all!

Hope everyone is holding up - i know this process can be heartbreaking and frustrating beyond words.

I'm lucky enough to be going through the NVC waiting game for a second time :) I got a checklist on Jan 10th and my new scan date is Jan 24th so I'm in the same boat as a lot of people here.

Some of you have asked what can be done to make things go faster and my recommendation is to contact your congressman.  I have seen posts in here that after someone contacts their congressman, they need to sign a privacy release form, and have the congressman send an inquiry to NVC.  It seems after this is done, things go pretty quickly.  I highly recommend this especially if you are past your 6-8 weeks from your scan date.

I sorted things out with my congressman aid and he told me last Thursday he would send an inquiry to NVC.  I will keep you guys up to date with how this goes!  We've been in the NVC process since October (6 months...) and sooooo ready to be done!
