I think this is a problem for everyone who is waiting for an interview in April: NVC received my packet in October, so I didn't include my husband's 2015 tax information yet, since it is not due until April 18th. I got CC on March 1st, no checklist, everything's ok. Let's say my interview is scheduled after April 18th, are the last 3 years of income enough or do I have to bring an updated version of I-864? Does anyone know if I can get a joint sponsor now, without going through NVC again and just bring the co-sponsor documentation to the interview?

Wow, everything is going a lot faster than I had thought. It looks like the case number was assigned on March 6, following what the NVC guide says for figuring out what day the case number was assigned. I called on March 7 and they said there was no case number yet.

This morning I received an email from NVC with the case number, IIN, and the invoices for both payments. Just paid the fees now, so I guess it is on to the next step!

Ask the NVC. Did you mark related cases on the I130? Did USCIS flag them as related cases when the paperwork was sent to NVC? You can tell if the case numbers are sequential (KNG2016xxxxx1, KNG2016xxxxx2). We had both completed on the same day.  Medicals on the same day and interviews scheduled for the same day.

No they didn't have sequential case number. His was assigned two days After mine. I called Nvc and they said they are aware that both cases are together and they wouldn't schedule an appointment for me until his is ready. I was also told it was with the persons who do the reviews. So I'm just hoping it gets completed  this week so that we may have a shot at April interview.

Call again this morning. Inquire again into why one case is complete and the other isn't when they are related.  Ask for a Tier 2 representative.  Tell them you hoping to have both interviews in April. Good luck.

When they schedule your interview they will tell you what to bring with you if they they need 2016 taxes they will tell you to bring them and you can take a new aos with you if you need a co sponsor .
