I am going to chill this week and let nature take its course.  I can't keep calling everyday.  I am calling every Wednesday from now on.  Plus I see CC on here with scan dates back in December!!!  Wow.

Scan date: February 2, 2017

I feel you ! I was driving myself nuts by calling them twice a week. From what I see here it is taking 10 weeks or more. 7 weeks for me today .... Hang in there ! we are so close

Thank you everyone who wished us well and congratulated us, It truly means a lot me. This has been a long journey and it's not over quite yet, but we're almost there.

For all those who are still waiting for CC, it's coming. Don't lose hope! Keep calling; but be polite, I understand it's stressful. For those of you who've passed 2 months at NVC; get a hold of a supervisor, if you keep getting the run around, get your state senators involved; do not wait to become a victim of their neglect. Those of you have been check-listed which has caused your journey to be a bit longer; don't lose hope either, you're almost there.

Keep checking ceac. Yesterday I had checked 'knowing' that I would not see any change... and I didn't. My husband calls me an 1.5 hours later, and I just thought, "What the heck, I'll try one more time before bed." And there it was!!! The 3rd N/A!!! I called immediately and confirmed. So know that your status can change at any moment when you least expect it.

I wish for you all CC's.  And I wish I could say more to comfort all of you waiting, but know this, you are not alone. Good luck, you're almost there!

Thank you so much. Your message just uplifted my spirit.

Wishing you best of luck on this journey and speedy one too

I finally received a supervisor callback this morning and was told that they will send me a checklist. My father's birth certificate is missing. My father is from Taiwan and when I was preparing the documents, the website informed me that the household registrar (hu kou) is sufficient evidence for the birth certificate. But the supervisor said that is not true and that they also need actual birth certificate. Anyone here from Taiwan too?

This is really disappointing... I have been waiting for almost 4 months since Nov 15 was my scan date, and she said I have to wait another 8 weeks through the standard timeline :(

I am so sorry. Checklists are awful and whats worst is it is not your fault. You followed the instructions. I am so sorry. Hang tight and send them the information as early as you can. Try speaking to a supervisor once the information is send hopefully they can approve it in a week or so. Good Luck

Yesss ! Thats exactly what I was thinking too. NVC used to be so good 6-8 weeks was the time frame. It seems like they are working hard to reduce the workload. Hopefully we hear something by next week. Good Luck to you as well :)

Scan date was 12/12/16. I just received a 'checklist' because my wife's birth certificate is a Canadian wallet sized edition and doesn't contain her parents names..  Have a correct one coming by express mail soon.. The lady at nvc said there would probably be another 8 weeks from when they receive that till it is reviewed.. Is there anyway to hurry it up or doesn't it usually take 8 weeks?
