I am going to chill this week and let nature take its course.  I can't keep calling everyday.  I am calling every Wednesday from now on.  Plus I see CC on here with scan dates back in December!!!  Wow.

Scan date: February 2, 2017

I finally received a supervisor callback this morning and was told that they will send me a checklist. My father's birth certificate is missing. My father is from Taiwan and when I was preparing the documents, the website informed me that the household registrar (hu kou) is sufficient evidence for the birth certificate. But the supervisor said that is not true and that they also need actual birth certificate. Anyone here from Taiwan too?

This is really disappointing... I have been waiting for almost 4 months since Nov 15 was my scan date, and she said I have to wait another 8 weeks through the standard timeline :(

It took about 2 weeks I think from the time my case was sent to NVC to receive a case number.

For case completion, or document review, is averaging 10-12 weeks.

Thank You.. but looks like it's taking 6 weeks now!!.. :(

Congrats :)

I've been checking to see when some familiar names get their CC's!

Thank you everyone who wished us well and congratulated us, It truly means a lot me. This has been a long journey and it's not over quite yet, but we're almost there.

For all those who are still waiting for CC, it's coming. Don't lose hope! Keep calling; but be polite, I understand it's stressful. For those of you who've passed 2 months at NVC; get a hold of a supervisor, if you keep getting the run around, get your state senators involved; do not wait to become a victim of their neglect. Those of you have been check-listed which has caused your journey to be a bit longer; don't lose hope either, you're almost there.

Keep checking ceac. Yesterday I had checked 'knowing' that I would not see any change... and I didn't. My husband calls me an 1.5 hours later, and I just thought, "What the heck, I'll try one more time before bed." And there it was!!! The 3rd N/A!!! I called immediately and confirmed. So know that your status can change at any moment when you least expect it.

I wish for you all CC's.  And I wish I could say more to comfort all of you waiting, but know this, you are not alone. Good luck, you're almost there!

Please don't give up ye and dont send any docs yet, as this will reset your scan date . If you are sure that the website says otherwise, Fight  for it and pray all goes well too. I'm currently going through the same thing. You dont necessarily need a lawyer. Not sure what they know about these matters. Mine wanted us to resend the birth certificate. I had to prevail on them not to resend anything and instead try and resolve this by contacting NVC.

I will recommend that you first collect your facts, get the link and quote exactly what it says, than call NVC between 7 and 8:30 am ET you will easily be connected to a supervisor at that time. Then calmly state your case to a supervisor. Chances are they will, at least agree to have a second supervisor take another look at your case to determine the merit of your fact. Then keep calling and requesting for a supervisor until you can confirm that is true. I just discovered that even the reps have the country-specific guidelines from the US dept of state and will check to confirm your claims. So  even if all you get is a rep, If they find it to be true. They will put a note for a supervisor's review for you. If you get a grouchy rep, hang up and keep calling till you get a nice one.

This morning i got a nice rep who advised me to send the docs in an email with a note explaining what the website says. I have also sent the email and i got a response saying my correspondence is currently being reviewed and they will revert to me once they are done. So now i'm waiting on news on the 2nd review.
