What a disappointment from NVC! A friend , also from this forum, called the NVC just now since it's their 8th week marker, and was told to wait for 11 weeks before they start reviewing the case. Their case until not has not been touched, the rep said it has not been reviewed yet! Ghaddd! New processing sucks! How do they review the case, is it by receipt date the moment they recieved the packets or literally the Case's priority date when it was filed in the USCIS? Taking the processing time longer doesn't make any sense, they simply dont abide with their SOP rules 😔😔😔

they changed from 8 weeks to now 11 weeks, cheer up, perhaps they will finish it before the 11 week mark.. hang on.. good luck on this journey

does march 9 means you sent the mail? when did NVC scanned the document? after they scanned it, they normally have 11 weeks

I don't think they go by date they received because some cases were completed within 2 weeks after the second scan date. Some late January cases are already completed while the early January cases are still in review. Maybe it depends on the person who's reviewing it but I highly doubt it because they haven't touched most of the cases. Hope we all get CC soon. I don't know how their system works. They don't even answer properly. Don't know why they are so rude. We wait 40 minutes to get to them and what they reply after 40 minutes, it's still in process and we can't tell you anything else. Just wait till 11 weeks are over. 

reviews really varies, may i suggest you call them around EST 7:00am-7:30am and EST 11:00-11:30pm

hopefully you won't be waiting for too long (my waiting time during those time maximum is 3 minutes)

Hello everyone! am so happy to share the news my case got completed this morning. 

scan date : January 13, 2017

CC: March 30, 2017 (only 1 day left before i reach 11 weeks)

 

thank you to everyone.. i will be waiting for the interview date.

I am hoping and praying that we all get speedy journey and get your CC's soonest

We were not given scan date yet 😔 have'nt called nvc since we mailed d packet last march 9. Just expecting an email from them, but intil now, no email yet

you should call them by now, and ask them when did they received the documents, so you would know when is your scan date, the counting of 11 weeks will start from the scan date

Did you call NVC? To find out if they receive your package? That date will be your scan date. To get CC it seems it's taking from 9 to 10 weeks

What I have read it's your scan date will be either the date you submit ds-260 or the date nvc receive your package example I submit 260 form March 21 and NVC received package March 28 so my scan date will be the 28

Did you hire a lawyer?

If not, you won't be able to pay both fees together. You also have to complete 2 forms online to complete the process.

Here's how it works for those who don't hire lawyers. 

1. Complete and submit DS-261. (You can do this right after you are able to login)

2. Pay AOS fees when it's available. (This usually takes 2-3 days)

3. Wait for AOS fees status to become "PAID" and then IV fees to be invoiced. ("PAID" status takes around 2-3 days and then IV invoice may take up to 1 week, but usually 2-3 days)

4. Pay IV fees when available.

5. Complete and submit DS-260 when it's available and send both AOS and IV package with all face-sheets in one package. ( You can only submit DS-260 after IV fees becomes "PAID" which again takes 2-3 days)

 

Your 11 week wait time will only start once NVC has received both, your documents and DS-260.
