I received confirmation that that my request to expedite has been granted which is good news.  But NVC advised me over the phone that it could still take up to 11 weeks for them to review and send the paperwork to the embassy.

Does your expedite say " the consulate is happy to expedite your case once all forms and fees have been received ..."? If so, yes you'll do the usual wait time at NVC and then when the embassy receives your file they just won't wait til the "scheduling week" to find the next available appt for you. They'll look at the calendar when they receive your file instead.  We are in the same situation.  Scan date 31st Jan, still at NVC.

I do not have a Birth Certificate so I sent affidavits from my parents and my High School Certificate as secondary evidence for Birth Certificate. NVC asked for Non Availability from the local body. Hence the checklist and they did not give the option to bring it to the interview.

Hello everyone how long does it really take to get a CC from NVC? Mail date is March 9, 2017 from US since my husband sent our civil  documents and AOS in one packet as instructed. Thank you 😀

When their turnaround time was 6 weeks it was taking longer than that. When they changed to 8 weeks people were still looking at 9 or 10 weeks in many cases. Now they've changed it to 11 weeks.  We all hope that this is because 11 weeks is realistic and they'll get them completed in that timeframe :-(

What a disappointment from NVC! A friend , also from this forum, called the NVC just now since it's their 8th week marker, and was told to wait for 11 weeks before they start reviewing the case. Their case until not has not been touched, the rep said it has not been reviewed yet! Ghaddd! New processing sucks! How do they review the case, is it by receipt date the moment they recieved the packets or literally the Case's priority date when it was filed in the USCIS? Taking the processing time longer doesn't make any sense, they simply dont abide with their SOP rules 😔😔😔

I don't think they go by date they received because some cases were completed within 2 weeks after the second scan date. Some late January cases are already completed while the early January cases are still in review. Maybe it depends on the person who's reviewing it but I highly doubt it because they haven't touched most of the cases. Hope we all get CC soon. I don't know how their system works. They don't even answer properly. Don't know why they are so rude. We wait 40 minutes to get to them and what they reply after 40 minutes, it's still in process and we can't tell you anything else. Just wait till 11 weeks are over.
