Hi, thank you so much yes you should give them a call. I didn't expect them to schedule it so fast. I called in to ask a question about an email I received and the rep went on to congratulate me saying my appointment had already been scheduled. Can I ask where your appointment will take place? Spoke to NVS rep. She said the scan date is determined on 2 factors the date they recieved your package and the date you complete the online IV . It's the latter of the two.  Ex: I complete my IV 3/24 and they recieved my package 3/28 so my date is 3/28

perhaps you could try and call again and speak to other representative, this is how i usually ask them "would like to ask if my documents are being reviewed as we speak, or they have started reviewing them?"

Petitioner changing jobs after submitting IV & AOS package to NVC? Can this be done?

just want to let you know, my document was sent november 10 and received at portsmouth november 14

and yet my scan date is January 13, and no CC yet as well. we are on the same boat.

I thought the NVC scan the barcode cover sheet the next day they received your documents. NVC received my Documents on March 27, i called them got scan date on March 28,

Lucky you, but that is not always the case unfortunately. 

Two factors for having your scan date as i read if am not mistaken from SJLOVE

 

Scenario 1

1. Submission or finishing your DS-260 on say,  january 1

2. Sending the packet on january 1, delivered on january 3, they scanned the document and entered it to their system on january 14

scandate would be january 14

 

scenario 2 

 

1. Sending the packet on january 1, delivered on january 3, they scanned the document and entered it to their system on january 3

 

2. Submission or finishing your DS-260 on say,  january 19

 

scandate would be January 19

Just called NVC and got my husband's interview date on May 2. CC: March 16. Haven't got the P4 email yet (I think I might later on today). Yay almost there!

Exactly. We sent our documents in on December 12 and they were received on the 13th. We paid the IV bill and completed the DS-260 on the 30th, but due to a glitch on their website, though our DS-260 said completed and we got the confirmation, our scan was officially January 19th when I called to inquire about the status of our case and a rep manually submitted it for us, at that point informing us of the glitch that allowed us to believe that our packet had already been scanned and was close to nearly being case complete.
