Not sure if this is what you are asking. If yes, then My husband filed his tax as "Married filing separately" with non resident alien (me) electronically. He used taxact.com. Its free. He got his refund. Although im not really sure on the SSN part because we are using the software.

Hi Guys,

I had my case approved for expedite request.  Although, I'm maybe two weeks from receiving CC from NVC...I may have delayed myself by doing this haha.  NVC no longer has my case, it has been forwarded to the Consulate who will finish the review and schedule interview, etc.

I know that the next step is the Medical exam, which we had completed in January. I'm concerned they will make us get another one, has anyone gotten the medical completed well in advance of the interview date? Was there an issue with that?  The doctor sent the results to the consulate directly in January, but i'm worried that if the consulate didn't have a pending interview they may not have kept the documents and will ask for new ones.  That s##t was expensive so i'm hoping we don't have to do it again!

Andy

please see this link https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume8-PartB-Chapter4.html#S-C-4

i hope you'd get your CC the soonest, good luck

Any Case Completes today ?

I was expecting them to complete all of January's by the end of this month but, I don't see it happening. Trying to stay optimistic but, its hard. It will be a year tomorrow since we started this ridiculous process ( PD was March 29th ) .

I will be really upset if we don't get May interview. This is just awful .

this journey of ours have been a lot easier and waiting becomes bearable because of co-filers like you, who have been a great moral support to us, esp. to those times i have been so depressed.

you have been very optimistic, whenever i read comments from you it always put a smile on my face even am about to shed tears,

don't worry @Zebracakex we will be with our husbands the soonest, please stay strong, cheerful and optimistic, we will definitely have our case completed the soonest, you are always in my prayers. am wishing you all the best

Are they currently doing review on your case?? If yes, then it's really good because at least your case is in the review. My second scan date is 26th January and still not in review.

i hope you'll get your case complete the soonest.

Yep, your cousin was right. They claim there's no way for them to take a look into my physical documentation because it's not even in the same building?! Therefore, they cannot determine whether the checklist was issued due to missing or invalid document.

I talked to my lawyer and he claims that we've got to send the document they asked for.

It's such a mess.

No new developments for you? Still under they infamous review?

am so sorry to hear that :( hang on.. and best wishes

Interestingly I just spoke with a very cool, calm and collected guy on the phone at NVC and he said that our case is currently under review. I asked about getting a supervisor to look at it and he said that it wouldn't be a smart choice because it could delay it at this point if someone had started it.

Our case has been a day away every time they've changed from 4weeks to 6, 6 to 8 and now to 11. More than just a little frustrating.

It seems everyone is in the same boat at the moment.

NVC Receipt date: Jan 31st 2017

goodluck, and if it's currently under review it will be finished anytime soon. just hang on,you will get the CC hopefully before end of this month. my scan date is January 13, and its still not being  reviewed.

What are the implications of the Petitioner changing job's after the NVC has our IV & AOS package?

I thought it would not be meaningful to submit documents with your previous job when you have changed to a new one; but my husband think's otherwise.

Has anybody have had such a situation like this before?

This years as in 2016 ?....even though its not April 18th yet?  Didn't you send in your documents in 2016? That seem harsh and/or unneeded!  I sent in my 2015 only as I am finishing filing around April 10th.  By their own standards current year is until tax cut off date. (with a the new updated tax information and i-864 brought to the interview) I would have my senator look into if that is the case .... 11 more weeks for something not required ESP still in 2016.

I am sorry to hear that and it makes me nervous as that I will get a checklist for my 2015 tax transcript even though it should be valid.

7 hours ago, vintash said:

Yes,  I didn't understand. But in the checklist email it gave us a direct link to the 2017 aos form and it expires in July 2017. I didn't realize there were dates on it like that. My husband filled it out and I never seen the dates on the bottom of it. I don't know if they just asked for it because I had to send my bc anyways so they knew at the interview I would need the updated. Who knows. But I just got off the phone and they officially have my documents so my second scan date starts today. Let's hope it's not

over 11 weeks. I've mentally prepared for 11 weeks now though and I will only

call once a week to not go crazy. If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have predicted I was getting a checklist and I acted fast and ordered my long form bc right away. The wait time for that is a month but I ordered it as soon as I saw someone from the same country as me submitt the wrong one. And last week when we got the checklist I wasn't surprised, I was prepared and we sent everything within days. So really I'm not upset that I'm totally set back and waiting another month for the correct Bc at least I was able to send it

right away.

ohhhh this scared me :(

I just spoke with NVC. I asked when my scan date was and she seem confused and had no clue. What I was talking about regarding scan dates.  She told me my mail was received on the 10th of February.  That's the date they go off of, She also informed me right now it's looking at 11 weeks.  Which will put me at the very end of April.

I'm assuming I won't see an approval until early May. Does that mean I have the wait the whole month of May to get an interview date?  Someone said they won't set interview dates until the past week of the months.

yes most probably on May they will give you date for interview on June. but interview dates varies per place of country that conducts interview,

and by the way, let's hope you'd get it the soonest,

i see some get their CC's on the 10th week :) Good Luck

4 hours ago, Samad194 said:

I called NVC and that person told me that no one can tell you if anyone has opened your file yet or not. We cannot see that in our system. We can only see if your case has been completed or not. Your review time will over on April 13th. So starting from Scan date 26th January - 13th April, it's been in review. I told him that the last person I talked to told be that no one has touched my file yet. He said I don't know how they checked but I cannot see anything on my system. So basically the all 11 weeks is called the review time.

ohhh, i think you should try to call them again, and hopefully you'd get an honest answer, i see from other threads that they were able to know if it's currently being reviewed, and when it gets completed, and i have been calling NVC and they did not told me that they cannot check whether it is being reviewed, (unfortunately, mine has not being reviewed so to speak)

4 hours ago, Lule said:

I want to speak to that person because when I first sent in my documents my 6 weeks was over in January than a supervisor expedited it and it got finished in march then they said they need a copy of my husbands passport and that's was march 3 and they said no body has reviewed it yet have they gone crazy they never even touched my documents way passed their time so I want to speak with the head of the head I think they are purposely doing this so they can probably get a raise since their pay got cut off

4 hours ago, Lule said:

I sent it on march 4th they said they got it on march 8...the point is if we were told at the beginning it was 6 weeks they should have done it then but they were slow so it took them from November till march to review it that's totally stupid and annoying and every time I call I always talks nice to them but I've had it

hmm, when we sent our documents, it was just 4-6 weeks, on january it became 8 weeks and this march it turns to be 11 weeks, everytime there is checklist, once they received the documents, it resets the waiting time, and you start over counting weeks :(:(

am so sorry to hear about that. please hang on
