My wife interviewed today, they asked her for new pictures and now her visa status says "administrative processing". Any idea what that means and how long would it take until approval?

Your embassy?

By new pictures you mean passport pictures? Did they say why?

Congratulations. What questions were asked? How long before the interview was the medical done? My husband's interview is the 21st. He went for the medical on 2-28.

Quick question, did you use the NPC birth certificate with your petition. I got a checklist yesterday for using the local govt issued one.

Awwww!!!sorry, but you supposed to have used the NPC birth certificate, you will have to go to the high court on island at igboshere to get your affidavits of birth certificate first, then you will take it to NPC at surulere.they will collect just 400Naira only make sure you go into office.I have the number of the person that did my affidavits for me,I can give you if you don't mind.it's cost just 1k to 1500nairan only and you will get it same day.but I think you will pay more if you want to get your Birth certificate from NPC same day, usually it takes 2weeks for collection.Note don't go and do your affidavits of birth certificate at ikeja oooo, cos they won't collect it.

Thanks a lot. The issue is i was born before the NPC was established so they cant issue a certificate for me. Maybe an affidavit. The thing is on the USA consulate website, it actually state that for people born before 1979 they can use the local government one. My lawyers have spoken to NVC about it, quoting the website and they've agreed to review it again. I'm trusting God that they will cancel the checklist. So i'm waiting to hear back from a supervisor now. Will let you know how it goes.
