Unfortunately, yes.  Once you are approved at the interview, they will give you instructions for paying for the green card which can be done right after you leave the interview.

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

Thanks!  So my wife will pay this at the time of her interview at the embassy?

No, she or even you or anyone else can pay it via a credit card (or PayPal I believe) online.  You will need her case number, and Alien Registration number (A-number) which they will give her upon her approval at the embassy.

Hello everyone, so my husband had his interview on March 13. Everything went well but we need a joint sponsor, because it is less than a year that I have started working. It is so stressful, I can't find anyone willing to be a joint sponsor. Anyone have a suggestions?

I have a question about paying for the medical exam.  It says pay $215 dollars but then later says about paying it in the local currency, in our case grivna for Ukraine.  So do I have my wife take 215 American or have her convert it? Seems strange considering the currency fluctuations that happen...Any info would be appreciated and thank you in advance.

Should pay only in local currency. No problem at all. Convert the day before interview.

Congratulations on your successful interview. :) The only suggestion I have, is to ask your relatives or very close friend, if you do not have any relatives able to co-sponsor.
