I received an email from nvc that included a checklist. It contained the following message

"

  • We reviewed the Affidavit of Support form and supporting financial documents you submitted. While
we will schedule your case for an interview, there is something incomplete or missing. This could affect
the Consular Officer's ability to make a decision on your case.
On the attached Affidavit of Support Assessment Letter, we have put an "X" by each item you need to
    correct.
If your Affidavit of Support form needs correction:
Fill out a new form online.
Print, sign and send the form to the principal applicant so he or she can take them to the visa
interview. Do not send the updated form to NVC.
If there are supporting documents missing:
Send the missing documents to the principal applicant so he or she can take them to the visa
interview. Do not send the documents to NVC.
After NVC schedules the immigrant visa interview, we will send you an appointment letter with
additional details. You do not need to contact NVC or send us additional financial information at this
    time.
You can access instructions for Affidavit of Support forms and read Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
online at nvc.state.gov/aos (English) or nvc.state.gov/aos/espanol (Spanish)."

Has anyone else gotten a similar message? Does this mean the next step is an interview at my wife's local embassy? My file on the nvc website has three "n/a's"...does that mean a case closed?

Also......Included in the attachment was the following message under the checklist for the joint sponsor

"According to the current poverty guidelines, it does not appear you or any of your sponsors meet the minimum
income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. To avoid delays, you may have the
household member complete a Form I-864A Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member (Edition Date:
07/02/2015). Provide it to the intending immigrant to submit at their interview. At that time, a consular officer will
make a decision regarding this requirement."

This isn't true...My joint sponsor definitely meets the poverty guideline!

yes ,yes case is completed but Your or the beneficiary must go to the interview with the correct affidavits of support.you don't have to send any document back to NVC.

You're welcomed and thank you as well @AlexUA

I called again this morning :jest: What you mentioned above about the embassy sending a table to fill in dates to NVC, is exactly what they do, the embassy provides what days are available for each month. The rep told me that they are still scheduling April in general, and my embassy too is still scheduling April... so I guess we just have to sit back and wait for our interview date.:pop: I hope we get  ours soon. :)

Hey...

My cousin is still waiting for the interview to be scheduled. Have you had any luck?

Hi, this is my first post here though I have been reading it often.

I filed papers for my wife at USCIS July 24, went to NVC Oct 3 2016 DS 260 received 10/25/2016 and mailed scanned 11/18/2016.

Then it sat there from the looks of it.

Went to supervisory review Jan 31, 2017 and just about an hour ago I saw the 3 N/A's and case status At NVC....looks like it was finally completed. Tried to call but phones were busy and can not get through.

I called NVC a few times and last time I called, 3/9/2017 the rep said this is taking too long and he would email his supervisor. Looked liked this actually worked.

So hopefully will get an interview date in Kiev soon...

Anyone have any ideas for that?

Good luck to all and congratulations to those of you with dates and visas!!!!

Long process
