Case Complete to Interview April 2017

Hello everyone! Congratulations to everyone who recently had their cc's, interview dates, and visa approvals!

 

I have a question about the relationship evidence I need to bring to the interview. We filed our I-130 back in September 2016 with A LOT of frontloading of pictures, chat logs, plane tickets, etc; do we have to print out new pictures and provide new evidence dated October until March to take with me to my interview in April?

I only brought the evidence which I sent with I-130 (didn't have enough time to prepare the update one)

there were three reviewer in my interview process, but none of them ask for it, ha

if u have time, prepared as much as u can, in case they did ask, then u got nothing to show them

for example, they ask me if I have update tax info, even I don't have all (cos is not tax season yet, my interview was Mar 21), but I did prepare W2 for them

they took it, and satisfied with it

 

just share some of my experience

Uh-oh, my husband and my mother-in-law (joint sponsor) don't have updated 2016 tax transcripts yet. We will try to get by with W2 like you did. Thank you for your input!

For our interview (March 1), we took the same evidence that we submitted with the I-130 plus the following:

 

* More pictures for the times we met on all trips

* More wedding pictures, especially with friends and family members

* We added the whatsapp, BBM and facebook chatlogs to the ones that were submitted for the I-130

* We added phone records to what was submitted for the I-130

* 2016 Tax return showing we filed as *married filing jointly*

* Amended 2015 tax return: *married filing jointly*

* Greeting cards (Birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's Day)

* Receipt for any gifts 

* 401K statement showing applicant as beneficiary

* Life insurance policy showing applicant as beneficiary

* Copy of petitioner's passport showing trips made to see applicant

* Copy of applicant's passport showing trips made to see petitioner 

* Boarding passes for the trips above

 

We both attended the interview and we were asked the following:

 

Questions to the applicant:

 

* Who sponsored you?  If this the person next to you?

* How did you meet?

* When did you meet?

* How do you communicate with your spouse?

* Did you have a wedding?  

* How many people attended the wedding?

* Who from your spouse's family attended the wedding?

* What does your spouse do for a living?

* Is this your first marriage?

* How many times did you travel to the US?

* Have you ever stayed more than 6 months on any of those trips?

 

Questions to the petitioner:

 

* Have you ever been married before?

* How many times have you traveled to Guyana to see your spouse?

 

The interview lasted for 10 minutes.

if ur interview is way before the tax due, it's ok if u don't have (I think...)

actually, I wasn't so sure if they want it or not before the interview

and actually like I said I wasn't have time to wait for them to send me the original

so just asked my husband and my mother-in-law to scan the W2 to a PDF file and I printed the photocopy

@thegreatphoenix If your husband and mother-in-law filed their taxes already, your husband can prepare an updated I-864 showing 2016 income and you can take in the updated I-864 (AOS) and copy of the 2016 income tax return.  Note that the 2016 tax transcript may not yet be available, so 2016 tax return should suffice.

 

If they have not yet filed taxes, definitely take the "old" I-864 that was submitted to NVC (all pages including signature pages) plus the recent 2016 W2s as @parsha did.

Hello question,

Have any of you downloaded the I864 form recently and not get any barcode at the bottom of the page? I am trying to make an updated one for the interview since I have my 2016 tax information but I do not see a barcode underneath the form. I'm I doing something wrong?

download in ur computer, then open it again, u should see it

I just tried, I can't see barcode, if I open it with google

but then I download it, and open again in my computer, then the barcode shows up

I just submitted my i864 with my AOS n IV packet but there was no barcode on my form?

Hi Everyone!

 

On the P4 letter that was sent to my husband for his interview it says the following.

 

"The original police certificate from your country of current residence and countries of previous residence. If these three items are all true, you must bring a more recent police certificate to the interview"

 

I am aware of the police certificate for Honduras, we already have that. However, it says country of current residence (he is here in USA). So that means he would need a USA police certificate. Where would I get this?

You need for every other country apart from the USA, as they are able to run a background check for the USA.

Hello!

 

My Husband also has interview for Honduras. 

 

We we lived both in Houston and Dallas and went to the police stations in downtown to get a police clearance.

My interview is in 4 days, and I am super excited. Today finished arranging my documents, more than a 10 pounds.

For the evidence of relationship I've included

450 pages of FB chats from 2009 to 2017
20 screenshots of Skype conversation with 45+ minutes of talk each.
Money Gram transfers.
More than a 100 photos together from 2009.
Affidavits from friends.
Joint bank account statement.
Tickets, hotel reservations , gym membership cards and other various things we've done together.
Gift receipts.

Hope everything will be OK!
