Hi. My mom is currently in US on a tourist visa. Im not filing for i130 and i485 for her. My mom was never married to my father since my father is married to his firts wife. So technically my mom is single. However, on my birth certificate it states a date of amrriage of my parents which is made by mistake. Will it affect my peritiom for her? Since on the application my mom is single but on my birth cert it says she is married to my father? They dont have marriage cert bec they are not married. Help pls

ditto,

if not, immigration will request the marriage certificate and won't let you continue the case until you produce the marriage certificate

so amend the birth certificate to show your mom was single

Thank u both for your response. My problem is, it might be impossible to have it amended in the phil since all of my relatives are living here in us. That is why we convinced her to just stay here and agree for me to file i130 and i485 for her. She will be alone in the phil if ahe goes back. She is already 65. I was thinking a cenomar might help? Since despite of her marital status i can still

prove she is my mom?
