Interesting, I called USCIS and they said the San Antonio, Texas office is also working on cases from September 2016. Just like you, this means I probably wont get an appointment until December and wont even take the oath until March. Are they looking at the national average or what?

I do not think they look at anything. I believe they just give standard answers that are supposed to get rid of you for the next 60 days. Some people (on other fora) reported that USCIS informed them that the times listed on their web page are not (as web page says) "Data as of: April 30" but as of publication date which is June 14th, claiming that USCIS has not updated yet the web site to reflect the actual information. But I find it hard to believe. In case of a court litigation their web page will be treated as a solid proof, not verbal explanations of their representatives, so I do not believe phone reps know better.

Had my interview at Indianapolis today. Drove 2 hours from Fort Wayne to Indianapolis for my 8AM appointment and was 4 minutes late (thanks to the rush hour in Indianapolis). Was very nervous because of that and was having thoughts of getting turned away. However, they took me in and the interview went fine. Then I was out in less than 15 minutes. The officer told me that I passed the test and that he has approved me. I should receive the letter about Oath ceremony in 45 to 60 days. He also told me that it will most likely be in Fort Wayne or South Bend as those are generally the locations for Northern Indiana District.

I'm a May Raleigh/Durham filer.  When I check the timelines here on VJ it seems like they're moving at about 5 months total.

This could fluctuate. I agree, but I feel like they're nowhere near as far behind as they claim to be.

 

I understand it's a small sample size but the two Raleigh filers from January have had their interviews and one had oath.  There aren't any filers in February thread but according to timeline they are already through as well.  I believe you March filers should be getting word on an interview this month and should have everything wrapped up by August.

I hope you are right, although my case still shows I am in a fingerprint appointment stage, which could be the background check Kafkasque-like reality. On the other hand I am most afraid I will be invited to the interview or have oath scheduled on this date: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_August_21,_2017

Was very nervous because of that and was having thoughts of getting turned away. However, they took me in and the interview went fine. Then I was out in less than 15 minutes. The officer told me that I passed the test and that he has approved me. I should receive the letter about Oath ceremony in 45 to 60 days. He also told me that it will most likely be in Fort Wayne or South Bend as those are generally the locations for Northern Indiana District.
