I think San Francisco is a very busy FO. I walk by there almost daily and the lines to get inside the building are at times very long. I have my fingers crossed though.

If anyone can update my info on the list, I got the biometrics done early. 4/11/17. The didn't have anymore CD's so they just got me the booklet. Fast and friendly service. Now the wait begins.

isn't the CD taped inside the book ? Mine was ...

  • cheque is cashed on 06/11/2007
  • NOA1 in mail 06/13/2007 (who said 13 is badluck )
  • 07/30/2007 After no touches and no other signs we just got an email with the APPROVAL of I130....Thank God !....now what ?

  • 08/07/2007 Case received by NVC and case number assigned :))

  • 08/13/2007 DS3032 and AOS bill were generated

  • 08/14/2007 Emailed choice of agent ...i'm so curious when they will accept it...hopefully soon

  • 08/21/2007 DS3032 and AOS fee bill arive in mail

  • 08/27/2007 paid AOS fee bill

Yup, that also means we both must have had our GC renewed (for the 2nd time) not too long ago, perhaps that's why our cases went to the inline stage quicker than most, as BG check was also done for renewal not too long ago ? In any event, I think you will probably get the Interview letter quicker than me because SF processing time (according to their website as of Jan-31st), is 229 days, vs. DC's 269 days, so if they truly follow FIFO , then you should receive the letter first, I'm sure there are tonnes of other variables involved however, so no telling what will actually happen. Good thing is that it is spring here in DC, so the inevitable waiting period should not be as miserable.

I actually went for my GC renewal biometrics mid February.  They gave me a 9 month extension on the card, then I decided to apply for citizenship after all.  I have not received the new GC yet.  I know, I sent a lot of $$ to the government, hopefully that is it.

I see, I actually went for my renewal bio-metrics in mid February of 2015 and received the new GC in mid - June of 2015, so pretty quick, my guess would be that you will have your new GC before your interview letter, or right around there. Best of Luck !
