Gotta love the USCIS: I've been a US Citizen since 11/3 and this morning this is what I find in the mail...a letter saying that I entered a request to reschedule my oath!! The letter is dated 11/13 (when I was already a USC) and it's got a service inquiry # and all. Of course I never requested to reschedule my oath or anything. Should I even bother with this? I mean I already have my naturalization certificate and my passport...These guys can't leave me alone!

I can't believe I had to call them again!! They could have seriously screwed things up for me if they had rescheduled my oath without me knowing anything about it.

Rest at ease...They also sent me a message a week after my naturalization that they forgot to make a copy of my certificate so i had to make a copy to send to them. If I did not it would have slowed me down with the rest of the stuff i was going to do like Social Security.....and so on.....

Hi Everyone! My immigration story just got a little bit more crazy. Originally, my interview was scheduled for 11/16 and then got cancelled by USCIS “Due to unforeseen circumstances”. The new interview notice  arrived with a date of 12/18. Today I got yet another interview notice with a date of 12/12. 

I am planning to go to a 12/12 interview and ask them about a 12/18 notice. Not sure what else to do. Both interviews were apparently scheduled a day apart from each other. Has anybody run into such situation before? 

 

I am afraid it’s going to cause a lot of misunderstanding and more delays

On the 14th of November I went to my local post office & did my application for my first U S passport, then today I received my passport.

It took only 11 days :D now I am just waiting for my naturalization certificate.

Hi Yulia,

i recommend you to call them and clarify what day is the decent day of your interview. I read somewhere the same about the same situation and the same advise of the attorney. So let you double check. I know it takes time to call USCIS but I would do that it I got two invitation letters...

Wow, that is fast. I dropped my PP application off at my Post Office on 11/13, hope to get it soon too.

His yep it was & I only did the standard processing lol, on my way home last night I checked the mail box & my naturalization certificate was in there.

Now I only have to go to the social security office & update my records then I am all finished :D

There have been two people that have gone through your Field office and I have posted it above, I was one of them. Time line was about 7 months from FP to interview. I think you are very close to interview seeing that you did your FP a month after we did ours.  I will say wait and hopefully it comes in the next week or two and if you dont hear anything you can request for an info path.  Good luck. It will be okay you have waited for a while you are at the finish line.
