HI OmaNE2, It's hard waiting for sure. Hope that you hear something soon. When looking at USCIS processing times for Omaha the page says as of August 31, 2017 at the top of the table; however, I think that's the processing time as of October 13, 2017 - see the date below where it says last updated. So it appears Omaha is processing a couple of weeks ahead of NYC and may be working on apps received February 27th currently judging from last update.  It seems like we should both reasonably expect to hear something in the next 3-4 weeks. If I don't hear something before Thanksgiving, I'll start thinking my app. is seriously stuck. Hello All,

 

Both me and my wife attended the oath ceremony today. Raleigh has a nice small ceremony with a room capacity of around 40-50 people. The whole ceremony took around 60 minutes, but since it started late it actually took 1.5 hour(s). It was a slightly stressful event for us, since we came with our 3-year old daughter and she is very energetic. It was fine, we survived, the 3-year old was quite interested in what is going on and we enjoyed the event. I hope all of you (those waiting) will reach that stage soon!

 

I was surprised how well organized the whole thing was. Each chair had an envelope with "citizenship welcome materials" and I pointed out to my wife how well it was all aligned, exactly the same way on every chair! It really looked neat. They distributed the certificates extremely quickly. When they seat people they collect green cards in the order reflecting seating and then let new citizens stand in a line, while they were ready with a prepared stack of certificates matching the order of collected green cards. I think they distributed the certificates in about one minute!

 

President's Trump welcome speech was nice, in his style, but still welcoming and warm.

My Oath Ceremony, was fun, I had My husband and kids with me, however the Judge was an HOUR late, and bear in mind we got there an hour early since we were told it gets packed. My two year old was a complete stud, Especially since they gave a warning that if a child was loud they would have to leave. I was sooo hungry so make sure you eat well before you go, you don't know how long you'll be in there!

 

We did the call of Nations, had a video from Trump and did our Oath and Pledge. Held a house party that evening for all of my friends to celebrate with me!!

Hello everyone good morning! we applied mid march, Ive to check the exact date. Biometrics was in April and have been in line for interview since April 18th. We would be going thru the Oakland Park FL office. I am guessing that my husband will get an interview before Dec. Question: his Jamaican passport expired do you think It would cause an issue if we renewed it in case he has to travel home in the meantime? We did not expect the process to go this long this time.

I don't see any problems with this. Your husband will need to remember to bring both expired and new Jamaican passport to the interview if both are in his possession.
