N-400 - March 2017 Filers

NYC Filers: how long does it typically take between interview and oath letter? My priority date is 3/1, interview date 9/21. Also, supposedly my case was approved after receiving "decision cannot be made"; two different L2 officers confirmed it so it *might* be true...

After almost 5 months and 2 FP appointments (!) I ended up getting an interview on 9/21; now I'm waiting for my oath letter since, according to two L2 officers, my case has been approved. You will get updates soon, it just takes a lot of patience. (and I learned the hard way).

I am like 61/2 months waiting. I tried doing service inquire and it would tell me I am within processing time...Today I tried to inquire with criteria "i did not get a notice and it went through.... so I will wait until Oct 26th. I called and asked to speak with a tier 2 officer and he could not tell me anything. Said some case move fast while some progress slowler. He said since I already placed request wait and see what they say. I went on the .gove website and saw this "As of October 4, 2017, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, is currently not assigned for processing." after i place the inquire, Nick did you get something like this?

I never entered an inquiry on line...I spoke to countless L2 officers and did an infopass; all quite useless until I got the 2nd FP notice and things got back on track. If you are willing to spend some $ on this you can consult an attorney and have them write a letter to the USCIS (that was going to be my next step if things hadn't moved).

I am going to wait up until 8 months... the L2 officer didn't help much he even instigated that he saw an interview was supposed to be scheduled for me but don't understand why they did not send me a notice. So he said lets wait and see what they have to say...will have an answer in a week and a half. Another thing is there are never any availability for infopass appt. I have gone online early in the am and late in the evening to no avail.... Guess I got to wait.

All done. Interview was easy. IO Verified the details I filled in N-400 and made changes where I had dates wrong. Then she asked the civic test questions. I got first 6 right and then did read and write test. It took about 30-40 minutes. My oath ceremony is scheduled for 10/06 (Friday).

Those dates are not correct as I had option to do it on 10/10 (Tuesday) as well. May be you will have same options. She printed the oath ceremony letter and gave it to me.

I don't remember all the questions but here are what I remember.

1) Who is the governor of your state?

2) Who was the first president?

3) Name 2 national holidays.
