* A coversheet, listing content in order of attachments helps to make sure nothing you said you sent had been lost.

 

* You may want to list evidence per the above separation - financial and social -

 

* Attach the check at the front so they see it right away.

 

* Put your A# on all pieces of paper you send in.

thanks a lot for your answer. i truly appreciate that. i have one more question to ask- i live in michigan and visited Canada few time ( only for a day or two). do i have to mention that in N-400 form. the problem is - they dont stamp on passport while driving to canada, and i don't remember the exact day of my travel. please assist. Thanks !

Question regarding walk in biometrics.

 

As stated earlier. my bio apt is in 2 weeks. I was hoping to call my fingerprinting site to see if i could walk in today but cannot find a number for them and its an hours drive away. What are the chances if i just turn up if i would be possibly be processed then or would that be a black mark on me for doing so ?

I can only speak for myself and I also read that not all locations take walk ins.  I had an appointment at the ASC in Oakland, CA on 3/31.  There is an ASC near my work in downtown San Francisco, I just walked in on 3/20 around lunch time without prior call.  Security guard looked at my letter and GC and said he needs to ask a supervisor.  He came back and said supervisor approved to FP.  They were super friendly and accommodating.  I was in and out in 20 minutes.  Still waiting for "In Line" status.

Haha, your trouble should be: you copied directly from other response.. all the format will be reset to normal. 

You should have quoted the post, copied, then deleted the quote and pasted.

N-400 Naturalization Journey SAN FRANCISCO FIELD OFFICE

Total processing time from last successful submission to Oath Ceremony: 253 days (8 months and 11 days)

02/26/2012: Arrived SF airport. 

11/28/2016: Eligible for early-filling.

Day 00 - 12/23/2016: Sent N-400 + I-942 to Phoenix, AZ lockbox via USPS.

Day 03 - 12/26/2016: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 25 - 01/17/2017: Sent email to support regards to application.

Day 26 - 01/18/2017: N-400 rejected because incorrect payment amount.

Day 32 - 01/24/2017: N-400 + I-942 resent.

Day 34 - 01/26/2017: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 49 - 02/10/2017: N-400 rejected again because incorrect payment amount.

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: Email form USCIS support responded package was rejected in error (!?) for the first and second time submissions, they requested 3rd resubmission + tracking number in order to apply my earliest priority date. 

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: N-400 + I-942 resent on the same day, also sent a response to Lockbox to provide information to USCIS.

Day 54 (Day 0) - 02/15/2017: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 62 (Day 8) - 02/23/2017: E-notification, E-mail from USCIS, E-mail from Support announced Resubmission was accepted.

Day 66 (Day 12)- 02/27/2017: Notice of Acceptance as Fees Waiver Approval received. (All fees were waived instead of reduced by half as supposed by filing form I-942)

Day 69 (Day 15) - 03/02/2017: Online Status Update: Fingerprint Appointment was scheduled. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Fingerprint Appointment Letter received. Biometric will be on 3/15/17. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Early Walked-In for Biometric at 3:45 PM.

Day 87 (Day 33) - 03/20/2017: Online Status Update: Case was placed in line for interview. 

Day 234 (Day 180) - 08/14/2017: Online Status Update: Interview has been scheduled.

Day 239 (Day 185) - 08/19/2017: Interview Letter received.

Day 269 (Day 215) - 09/18/2017: Interview 2:30 PM at USCIS SF Field Office. Recommended For Approval. 

Day 280 (Day 226) - 09/29/2017: Oath Ceremony Letter received. N400 is approved.

Well I was able to drive over to my nearest office in Michigan City, and walk in with my papers. Explained my situation and they just waived me straight in.

 

The office was quite large and with probably close to 80-100 seats in the main area but there was just one latino couple in before me and they processed me straight away.

 

VERY friendly and helpful staff. Done and dusted in 15-20 Minutes. got given a nice book with the 100 questions to study and ( not seen anyone else mention this ) but it also comes with an audio CD so for me, I will be able to listen to them in the car as well. Very cool !

 

I have officially given up trying to update the timeline, so if someone could change my bio appointment to 3/24 in blue I would be most grateful :)

I am in the same situation, my husband's family is in Canada so we do travel relatively often for the weekend. In my case, what I could remember of the Canada trips ( i.e. it was an event we were attending, holidays etc) I noted down, the rest I did not - I will mention it during my interview, but my thought process was , they know when you come and go anyway as they scan your GC every time you enter the US - if I was to put down the dates incorrectly, it may raise the question of why I don't have an entry scan etc .....In reading through here, I know they are adamant about passport stamps so I actually ticked and tied everything to what my passport says, and then added any Canada trips I was confident about , date wise ( from looking at car rentals or hotel bookings etc)

 

I am not an immigration specialist / lawyer.

  • cheque is cashed on 06/11/2007
  • NOA1 in mail 06/13/2007 (who said 13 is badluck )
  • 07/30/2007 After no touches and no other signs we just got an email with the APPROVAL of I130....Thank God !....now what ?

  • 08/13/2007 DS3032 and AOS bill were generated

  • 08/14/2007 Emailed choice of agent ...i'm so curious when they will accept it...hopefully soon

you could mention the months of your travel and average time if you cannot recall the actual dates.....

I received my biometrics appointment today, it's for 04/05/17 I am going to try an early walk in. It's in the same place that I had my biometrics done for my AOS & ROC & I successfully had early walk in's done for them, so fingers crossed.

Day 49 - 02/10/2017: N-400 rejected again because incorrect payment amount.

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: Email form USCIS support responded package was rejected in error (!?) for the first and second time submissions, they requested 3rd resubmission + tracking number in order to apply my earliest priority date. 

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: N-400 + I-942 resent on the same day, also sent a response to Lockbox to provide information to USCIS.

Day 54 (Day 0) - 02/15/2017: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 62 (Day 8) - 02/23/2017: E-notification, E-mail from USCIS, E-mail from Support announced Resubmission was accepted.

Day 66 (Day 12)- 02/27/2017: Notice of Acceptance as Fees Waiver Approval received. (All fees were waived instead of reduced by half as supposed by filing form I-942)

Day 69 (Day 15) - 03/02/2017: Online Status Update: Fingerprint Appointment was scheduled. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Fingerprint Appointment Letter received. Biometric will be on 3/15/17. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Early Walked-In for Biometric at 3:45 PM.

Day 87 (Day 33) - 03/20/2017: Online Status Update: Case was placed in line for interview. 

Day 234 (Day 180) - 08/14/2017: Online Status Update: Interview has been scheduled.

Day 239 (Day 185) - 08/19/2017: Interview Letter received.

Day 269 (Day 215) - 09/18/2017: Interview 2:30 PM at USCIS SF Field Office. Recommended For Approval. 

Day 280 (Day 226) - 09/29/2017: Oath Ceremony Letter received. N400 is approved.

Day 291 (Day 237) - 10/10/2017: Last Online Status Update: Oath Letter was mailed. Too late!

Day 307 (Day 253) - 10/26/2017: Oath Ceremony in Oakland, CA. Citizenship granted.

Day 307 (Day 253) - 10/26/2017: Passport applied.

Day 321 (Day 267) - 11/09/2017: Passport Booklet received. 

Day 321 (Day 267) - 11/09/2017: Naturalization Certificate received. Journey done.
