Any further Police Clearances needed before heading to the U.S.?

Ok - so we have a Entry date of 3/7/17.

 

When she files i485 or any other forms down the road - will we ever be needing ANY other police clearances/NBI etc...????

 

The reason I ask is because she will need to get them now before her flight in one week.

 

I know she will need a couple of B/C copies - but is there ANYTHING else she needs to grab?   Once shes here shes HERE.   Cant go back to fetch stuff.

Ensure she has a copy of her vaccinations from St Lukes, they are pretty good at giving a copy of it...the DS32 something, can't remember the number off top of my head.

 

Long as she does not have any criminal records, then no she does not need a police certificate or anything for AOS process.

 

Yes, a few copies of her BC is a good idea to bring along also. For AOS they just ask for a copy of it but still.

Hey wasnt there an envelope that she is supposed to have that is supposed to remain UNOPENED and you are supposed to hand that over to ICE when you enter?

 

She said they only gave her a CD or something for her medical.

From the medical they will give her the CD, and the DS form again.

 

The sealed envelope should have been given to her by the embassy when she received her visa. If she only received her passport w/ visa back and not the envelope then she needs to contact the embassy quick and see where it is.

She received this from the 2GO (embassy)

 

1) A Large clear plastic bag with a cut shaped corner with yellowish envelope inside stating "To be opened only by Immigration officer... etc.. etc..."

2) Filipinas Pasaporte

3) Immigrant Visa Branch letter saying "WARNING"  "Do not open"

 

 

Does all that look correct?

 

She claims she has immunization records and CD

 

 

I think thats it... she should be good to enter then and we shouldnt need any other doc's from what I hear...

Last question - is there any fees due once she lands in the airport here in SF?   Some sort of hidden tax, entry fee, etc... etc...

Well my port of entry is in San Francisco, I dont remember paying anything else, I just hand my yellow packet to BOC inspection, asked me some questions.
