 Does anyone know or has had this happen to them?

 

Can you apply for k1 visa and diversity visa?

 

And if someone has, did it cause problems for you when being approved for k1 visa?

It all comes down to intent to immigrate.

 

Applying for the Diversity Lottery is not intent to immigrate.

 

Being selected for the Diversity Lottery is not intent to immigrate.

 

Being selected AND submitting a DS260 form for the Diversity Lottery.... that's the point at which you have intent to immigrate because you have submitted a formal application.

 

 

Have you been selected for the Diversity Lottery?  If no, then don't worry about it.

Technically yes.. seems a bit much though honestly. Go for one or the other. Don't fall into the 'seems desperate' to get a visa area.

It looks like you already applied for the K1 visa, is that correct? If so I would not recommend also applying for the diversity visa. I don't think it would cause harm to your current application, as the diversity lottery is just being entered for a chance to apply for a visa, however not only does the diversity visa take a long time to process (much longer than K1 I believe, and that is IF you get selected), you don't want to seem like you are too desperate to immigrate as mentioned in the post above. This is especially true for a country like Morocco, which is known for high instances of immigration fraud.
