Hi all I am hoping you can help.

I am constantly checking this website (although not helping my sanity) and wanted to get someone's opinion on the different dates between NOA1's to NOA 2's. For example I can see looking at the recently approved applicants that they sent their I-129f petitions and some have been seen really quickly. I understand that there are different service centres but can see that some of them are at the California Service Centre as our application is. However some have been reviewed despite being received after ours.

The official website states that they review them in a date order basis but that cant be based on the peoples story here.

With that in mind, how long after your NOA1 should you contact them to ask why some peoples are being responded to quicker than yours? as I am guessing that wont help at all.

any advice would be really helpful as we have planned our wedding for August 25th! and am starting to panic a little bit!

Thanks all

They don't work in a strictly first-come, first-served manner. They cover a wide spread of dates in a progressing order. Check the data found in the link in my signature.

Almost all I-129Fs are at CSC. It's the only service center that processes new I-129Fs currently. Very rarely a case is transferred to another service center, but that's a handful of petitions among thousands per month.

You can contact USCIS at any time, but until your petition is out of normal processing times (at least 150 days), there's not really anything that anybody can do (even a congressional inquiry). Currently, there's about a 3 month span from NOA1 to NOA2. Some get it in ~70 days, and some have been waiting almost 120 days. But most people seem to be taking around 90 days currently. There are a handful of Oct. and early Nov filers still waiting for a NOA2, some mid-Nov. filers, and a bunch of late Nov. filers waiting. Early Dec. filers are just starting to see approvals.

Like above. As they receive petitions some get stuck behind others, some people work to go through the petitions faster than others.

Some people take sick days, vacation, and your file is left alone while they are gone.

No need to worry it is all part of the process.

Hi guys thanks for the quick response. reassuring to know that it wont have gone missing!

like I said the fear is that we are cutting it fine for an August 25th wedding. Fingers crossed it all goes through ok as we have put a lot of money down already (maybe naively) but its the venue my fiancé has always wanted to get married at, and it would need to be during the summer!

here's to hoping all will be done in time!

thanks again
