Hey guys! So, I'm getting ready to leave the UK next week (March) back to the states, and my fiancé and I are doing some of the paperwork together, as it's easier than snail mail. When he fills out his 325a, should he date it, or leave it blank for me to date when I send in the I-29 packet? I ask because I'm not sending it in straight away, as I've got to get back to work first. My intention is to send it out in April. I guess the same question applies to his letter of intent to marry, and his passport sized photos. I just want this all done perfectly. I am consulting immigration services when I get home, but it would be helpful to know how to best fill out his things before I leave so there's no unnecessary back and forth. Thank you!

His paperwork can be scanned and emailed to you. That is acceptable for the beneficiary.

And why snail mail? Always can use FedEx/DHL and do 2-3 day shipping at a fairly reasonable cost.

But just take back with you primarily the passport photos if you get them and can date them yourself when you send it.

Why do that though when I have the forms already and he's going to fill them out so I can physically bring them back with me? It just seems unnecessary. Will his 325a and declaration of intent to marry not be accepted if they are dated earlier than when they're sent? That was my concern.

I should've been more clear in my original post, sorry!

No it is understandable. Obviously if you can get original originals that's great. I would just date them yourself before you send them in then so the date is closer.

All paperwork sent generally has small date discrepencies so. Long as they are within 30 days of sending I would think it would be fine.

Ours were dated all different dates ranging about 10 days.
