Area for medical and interview

Is it okay if someone who has to go through their interview in Montreal gets their medical in Vancouver or vice versa (if they get their interview in Vancouver, can they get their medical in say Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa?)

You can have your medical at the nearest Approved doctor around the area where you live.

And then youre gonna have to go to your Interview, Montreal or Vancouver, not sure which one you picked up or which one you will be adressed to.

Ditto. I believe there is a web site called "panel doctors" or the like, where you can see all doctors authorized to perform the medicals. Remember to get it done before interview - I personally think it's wiser to get it done as soon as you receive info from Consulate about your interview date (by phone or email or letter) - but as always, the best source of info is the Consulate itself... in your case if it's K-1 you ca be processed either at MTL or VAN - anyone else? I'm not too familiar with K-1 process.

The consulate wher eu have ur interview at all depends where u live, you don't really get to pick. You can ask for it to be transfereed though

OH do we really have to wait until we get our interview date appointment letter??? I thought someone said we could schedule our medicals once we receive Packet 3...

I don't think you HAVE to wait until you get your interview date. I think sometime after packet 3 is fine, no? Maybe I'm mistaken?

Hmmm... not sure about this one - but I am sure that medicals have some sort of time frame of validity... insights, anyone?

You can get your medical done as soon as you have packet 3. Most panel physicians in Canada will want to see the cover letter in your packet 3 since it shows your NVC case number.

It doesn't matter where you get your medical done as long as it's by an approved panel physician. Depending on the panel physician, you can pick up or have them courier it to you and you bring the sealed envelope with you to the interview. I don't think any in Canada send it directly to the consulate.

Panel physicians I belive is an actual company!! There are other Dr's (http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Canada&cty=Montreal) in canada that are not part of Panel Physicians that do the medical physicals!! ya, I know this post is #######,lol!!

Stop being so #######. Yeah, "www.panelphysicians.com" is a company but the medical thingy in packet 3 refers to all the doctors as "panel physicians".

I still need to unpack. When are you driving down to Richmond to help me?

Nope, you do not have to wait until you have an interview date, Just take your letter from the Consulate from your packet 3 along with 1 passport photo and your immunization records and you can have your medical done at any approved panel physician. The medicals are valid for one year from the time you do them.
