WOW O'Rilley looked like his head was about to explode. He did not argue his point effectively. He just looked like a xenophobe who is scared that the brown people are taking over. I agree with Geraldo they should not take a drunk driving case and turn it into an immirgration issue. I know this white guy who has like 3 DWI's in less than a year..still has his license and everything ummm can we send him somewhere?? :help:

Immigration is a FEDERAL issue local police have no choice but to let them go it is the law. In order for them to be deport them laws and guidelines have to be in place and it takes for though and some sense of reason. Screaming like your pannies is on fire is not gonna get it done.

Plenty of local forces are now working with ICE, and have been trained in these areas.

Plenty of other crimes are Federal, does not mean that State ignores. Drugs anybody?

That statement in bold is baloney. There are many cities such as Nashville that do not tolerate illegal alien criminals that pass through their jails and courts. The real fact is that they do not have to just let them go like they have some sort of right to be here illegally. Don't believe me? See for yourself what is legally possible.

With active policies like Nashville's you don't have repeat offender illegal alien criminals cut loose on the street to repeatedly endanger the public such as this recent incident that happened in my city.

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4667218.html

Nobody in their right mind suggests that we should tolerate repeated crimes, DWI or other varieties, from US citizens. But US citizen criminals will eventually be released after serving their sentences and we are stuck with those a$$holes for better or worse. Illegal aliens are the responsibility and burden of the country they are citizens of. Why should we keep these creeps around to commit future crimes here when they should and can be deported to somewhere else away from America?

Give me one reason why we shouldn't deport illegal alien criminals and why some misguided cities actively forbid their local police and local courts from cooperating with Federal authorities to deport them? It doesn't make sense not to deport eligible illegal alien criminals.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

First of all who said that we shouldn't deport illegal aliens  I commented on how O'Reilly lost his cool and sounded like a maniac and did not argue his case effectively.

And that is fabulous that Nashville does that but you have to admit, it is not being done across this country or we would not have this discussion. In some areas local police do not have the manpower or money to do a "status check" and illegals are released into the street to repeat offend or go on with their life. And the only reason why HPD started verifying status was due to the police officer being killed on duty. And prior to that he was deported and he returned. So in that case the right thing was done and yet he still managed to get back into this country. There are many loop holes in the system. From federal to state.

This is a very complicated issue and just screaming and yelling about he shouldn't have been here and screaming they need to deport them is not going to get it done.

State officials can not make arrest under federal drug laws either. They have their own set of laws regarding drugs, but States are forbidden from legislating in immigration.

A contrived ratings booster.. I have followed O'Reilly for many years, with a personal 50% agreement rate. I

have never seen him get that loaded on any issue, with any guest. Ratings booster for FuX....Simple as that.

** FUX News.... Where is BBC news 24? We get BBC news crumbs on cable, that really sucks...
