i can't imagine how that must feel... shame on them! i hope that never happens to my fiance because he'd get up and go over there and smash their face in if they didn't bolt from the scene. and i'd have to try to bail him out of jail!!!! not good. i keep telling him he MUST stay out of trouble now before his interview and when he comes. you can't just get in fights and nothing happens to you like in morocco. sigh.

Aha well that makes sense then but still that's just uncalled for.

Do you live in the deep South, Jean? This kinda stuff like hardly ever happens where I'm from.

Louisville, Kentucky. People like this should not be allowed to reproduce. Knuckle draggers...

We are going to Teatro Zinzani tonight, complements of the doctor. He bought tickets as a prize for something back in October and the winner never came and got the tickets. These suckers cost $200!! So he gave them to us to use since he was leaving on vacation. IT's a dinner/circus/theater. Should be an experience.

Jean: Sorry to hear about your experience. It is sad that humans are so mean to other humans at times. I can never understand the mentality of some people. You are right; those 'knuckle draggers' will probably be sitting next to their moms on Easter, but remember, God knows who they are, where they are and what they did. While it's hard sometimes because we want to make sure they get what's coming to them, sometimes letting God punish them in His way much better than anything we can come up with! Who knows what sorry lives they lead to begin with. They may almost need pity...ALMOST

Jen: Definitely keep an eye on him when he gets here. Omar has been here over a month and I still have to remind him that the rules do matter and the police WILL write you a ticket, which you MUST pay. I know the police dept where he works is going to like him a lot when he starts driving...'oh there's our friend Omar, the one who pays our salaries with his ticket...let's see what he's up to today' and there goes another paycheck. :help:

Moody: Herds of men on bikes ride past my house on a daily basis in spring and summer. Sometimes my sister jokes about wanting to sit at the end of my driveway and rate their calf muscles! Told her I might have to charge admission. :P

MK: good to see you and your pics again.

Doodle: you are LATE :hehe:

Anyone I missed....have a good one.

Maggie

omigosh I am so busy at work today!!!! UGH. At least it makes the day fly by though.

Kinda bummed 'cause I really thought I'd get an approval email or two today since many did who had noa1's the same date I did and because I got touched yesterday. I really think my email is blocking it somehow but their addy isn't on any list or anything. Hopefully if that's the case they'll send something to me via snail mail.......

I told Usama that we were touched last night and he wanted to know how long they touched us for. I was like "wha??", and he's like "habibti if someone touches us I want to know for how long....a minute? 2 minutes?"

he's so funny sometimes. lol.

Jen: welcome back!!! You sound like you're doing sooooo good!!!! I'd be in my room with the lights off mourning for a week or two. Good for you! BTW that dress looks awesome and I'm sure it will be great in a lighter color. We need pictures!!!!!!!!

Togetherforever: That sucks! I've never seen anything like that here. People ride their bikes all the time in Boston for one thing and for another we're so culturally diverse no one notices who looks like what or anything like that. That's just so strange and I can't wrap my mind around it.

wom : I love those pictures! I'm kind of emotional today for all kinds of reasons...all the death in my family recently, my kids are with their dad after over a month of being with me AND it's their birthday (they're 361 days apart) parties this weekend that he is hosting, it's my first Easter as a muslim so that's kind of leaving an empty pit in my stomach because I've celebrated it for 41 years, etc...... I used to take Good Friday off and sit in the church from noon to 3pm.

Maggie: that sounds like fun! I got tickets for the kids and I to see Cirque de Soleil and I can't wait!

moody and everyone else....tgif!! :dance::dance::dance:

That's true Charles. When 9/11 happened people here were burning mosques in the area, and rioting against muslims as a whole. Fortunately there were enough good people here that decided to babysit the outside of the mosques for a bit during the prayer times, and things settled down. Bad people are everywhere.

I agree Charles. Most people assume Moh is Mexican. Louisville is actually a very diverse city but it also just means more targets for guys like that I guess. Its really sad... well downright shameful. I'm just glad he didn't hurt but makes me nervous sometimes.

That is horrible.....as if he doesn't have enough adjusting to do......I'm sure that's the last thing he needs.......but it's a good thing that your husband doesn't take it personally because that would be harder.....he seems like he's tough.....I think he's gotta be to ride 14 miles through highways to go downtown......but these are the kind of people I like.....the kind who don't give a hoot what other people are thinking of them.....my husband is the same way.....it gives one a sense of freedom....not always having to think about what someone else will be thinking before you do something.

I hope everyone has a relaxing Friday. I'm getting excited now about going to Egypt in June.....the hubby is too....I was at the mall this morning.....had to do a return &....couldn't resist........so I started already with the gifts....bought him 2 shirts, a belt, and socks. Men are easy to shop for.
